I almost get the feeling that the Cowboys have some players targetted but are playing the waiting game to drive the prices down. Hopefully they don't wait too long, allowing another team to enter discussions and drive the price back up.

Adam, I can't be positive, but I seem to remember hearing that we could sign any number of restricted free agents without limits on salary. Is that not correct?

Yes, the Final Eight Plan restrictions apply only to true Unrestricted Free Agents, not RFAs or players who were released.

If the 'Boys find a way to sign Atogwe, re-sign Sensabaugh, release Hamlin, and draft Myron Rolle in Round 3 in April's draft, I would be the happiest fan this side of the Zone.

The Depth Chart could look like this

FS - (1) Atogwe (2) Michael Hamlin (3) Rolle
SS - (1) Sensabaugh (2) Rolle

I must admit that I'm not a huge draft guy, but I think Rolle in round 3 is a pretty big stretch. I like him a lot better in 5 or 6.

And Ken Hamlin isn't that bad when you check the stats out. He's not a "ballhawk," but he's solid and doesn't give up many yards.

atogwe would be interesting.

My beef with hamlin is his inability to tackle properly. He looks like he repeatedly takes bad angles and is not very aggressive when wrapping people up it seems to me.

I have a belief that with our front 7 and wade phillips technical abilities as long as we have above average corners wade will not allow the safety's to get us beat. I do think we have above average corners.

I would love to see an athlete that goes and gets the ball back there though, I think that would be the missing element from our defense flat out pushing people around all year.

I really look forward to seeing the development of Allan Ball a guy newman has raved about since the first mini camp he took part in and the future of michael hamlin.

If you think that's your beef with Hamlin, then you'll love Atogwe.

I dont think, it is. Hamlin doesnt tackle well and what bothers me about it is he looks hesitant at times to go slamming into the pile and make stops.
