VICK'S HOUSE ROBBED: Michael Vick's house in Virginia -- the subject of a dogfighting investigation -- was broken into between May 7 and May 18, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Monday on its Web site.

Three plasma televisions -- 62 inches, 42 inches and 32 inches -- were among the stolen items, the paper said, citing a police report.

It makes perfect sense...I mean criminals would go to a house that is being looked at heavily by police. At least Vick and his crew had enough sense to take some items of value out of the house too. You know that they took incriminating items out of that house.

I would suspect that the police had already removed anything incriminating by the time it was robbed (or at least photographed it).

I can see it now,

Police officer: "Hey detective, what do you want to do with this 3 volume set of 'Ron Mexico's - A Guide to Training Fight Dogs' signed by the author himself?"

Detective: "Just leave them there on the kitchen table, we'll pick them up right before the trail"

One week later,

Detective reading his morning paper and sipping on his coffee, " Oh snap, Vick's house was robbed last night and 3 plasma TV's and 3 books were reportedly stollen...Dang, there goes my case"

My "inside sources" tell me that Steven Wright is the one who broke in and took these items, but they also say that he replaced those items with exact replicas before leaving.

Some will get that, some will not.:laugh1:

This is from the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/falcons/stories/2007/06/04/0604vick.html

Burglary at home

While the investigation continues — investigators did interview an out-of-state informant recently who Poindexter said implicated Vick — things haven't been idle at the property at 1915 Moonlight Road.

The two-story, white brick house Vick recently put up for sale was burglarized between May 7 and May 18, according to a police report obtained by the AJC.

"I don't think it had anything to do with possible evidence," in the dogfighting investigation, Poindexter said. "I think it was some feuding over the spoils. Some people believe that in getting ready to sell the house, Vick had promised stuff to some family members and other people felt they deserved things."

Stolen were three plasma televisions (62", 42" and 32"), two floor buffers, a wet/dry vacuum, an upright washer and dryer and a leather sofa valued at $17,550 combined. The perpetrator(s) entered the home through a back, side window, according to the police report, which indicated the "alarm was not working." There has been no arrest.

According to Poindexter, the burglary is not believed to have compromised the grounds in a wooded area behind the house, where investigators seized 66 dogs, mainly pit bulls, and other evidence in April that Poindexter said showed dogfighting occurred. Police were initially called to the property in a drug investigation involving a cousin of Vick. Another search warrant was executed after evidence of dogfighting was discovered.

That crime was not cited for Brown's and Poindexter's refusal to execute another search warrant, the third at the property, filed May 25 after informants told investigators they could find seven pit bulls in "shallow graves" and up to 30 dog carcasses and other evidence on the property. Poindexter cited language in the warrant as the reason it has yet to be executed.

For now, Poindexter, the part-time prosecutor in a county of just more than 7,000, has more pressing issues.

"I have several cases with greater priority," Poindexter said, at least three of which are higher-grade felonies than dogfighting, a felony punishable up to five years in jail.

That is some expensive stuff if that was everything stolen. Maybe it is the couch that brings it up that high because just looking at those items, they shouldn't be worth $17,550.

Was this before or after the house was sold? At least I am pretty sure I heard the house was sold.

I guess it makes no difference but just curious.

Seriously though, think about it...no way in hell does someone break into that house now. Also, remember that a seach warrant was denied last week due to some language of the warrant, so they must not of gotten everything they needed.

And with all the people looking at that house, how do they come up with the timeframe that the break in occurred? Sometime between May 7 and May 18?? An 11 day span, you can't narrow it down any further there?? Someone is covering something up.

This whole thing sounds stupid. They had to have a crew to haul out a leather sofa and a washer/dryer. Did they bring furniture dollys?

I see everyone's ignoring the obvious. This is always how they get you.

For instance, there are 27 ninjas in this room.

The following is an actual telephone conversation which occurred May 7th...

< Riiiiinnnng! >

"This is ADT Home Security. We're responding to a silent alarm at this residence. Has there been a burglary?"

"RUFF!"

"Were you there when the burglary happened?"

"RUFF!"

"Are you the owner, 'Mr. Ron Mexico' ?"

"RUFF, grrrl!"

"No? Is he there?"

"RUFF, grrrl!"

"That's okay. We have already contacted your local authorities and they are enroute. Have you been injured? "

"RUFF!"

"Remain calm, sir. Help is on the way. I'll stay on the line until they arrive."

"BOW WOW! BARK BARK! RUFF RUFF! BOW WOW"

"Yes, sir. *sob* I do believe that all dogs go to heaven. You just *whimper* hang on. They're almost there... Sir? Sir? Hello, sir???"

Exactly. You mean to tell me that it took 11 days for someone to notice that the house was robbed? And coincidently, the alarm system just happened to "not be working."

Come on...who breaks into a house and steals a washer and dryer, a wet/dry vac, and a sofa? Criminal #1: Yo, I can't wait to get back to my crib and wet vac that coolaid stain off of my carpet, son! Criminal #2: No doubt! I got this stain on my Vick jersey that I need to wash out right away!

Me thinks this stuff is sitting in a storage unit somewhere, along with other items tha Vick considered incriminating.
