OT - March Madness

A&M came close, but that guy from LSU made a great 3 point shot to win the game. Nice tough game and I think the Ags are finally taking basketball seriously. Hopefully, Gillespie sticks around for awhile.

Damn, that stung. That was a 25 foot contested 3 with 4 seconds left. He could shoot that 100 times and make 3 or 4. The guy who made it wasnt even a good 3 point shooter, he made 30% on the year. Only against A&M does that shot go in. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Well since A&M doesn't regularly make it to the tourney, I don't think it is too big a deal. Duke may have run A&M out of the building if they played each other next weekend.

16 seed Southern had them tied with 10 minutes left. Me thinks A&M could have done well.

lol@ 1 appearance in post season in almost 20 years, and crowing about how we missed by that much!

*** aggys..... ALWAYS good for a laugh!

Says the guy who's team almost lost to 15 seed PENN

This A&M team showed more heart and desire than in this game than Texas' bunch of overhyped athletes could muster all season

Texas fans: Eternally ungrateful, enternally classless

Ah crap guys, could use a little advice.

I'm on a free betting site, pickpals.com, you may remembered it was advertised by James Worthy on ESPNEWS the other day.

Well right now I'm sitting in 4th place overall in the entire tournament with over 500k points. The leader is very close to 900k points. YIKES! The tourney is done over the course of the entire tournament. Mostly, you bet on props, but you can also bet the spread and the O/U on the games. The odds are the same as if it were a real gambling site.

The site allows you to go round-by-round and in the 2nd round, I'm sitting in 2nd place overall behind the overall leader for the entire tournament. I'm behind him by over 100k points with tomorrow to go. If you win a round, you win an iPod Nano. Overall, you can win a 42' plasma HDTV.

I got lucky to begin with just basically BS'n and hit a prop on JJ Redick. I got him on a prop where he would hit more 3's than the entire Southern team at 5:1 odds. Since then, I've really looked into every pick, but of course not every pick.

Anyone willing to lend some advice on props from the site? Sign-up and you might get lucky enough to win an iPod, doubtful you could pull out the entire tournament, but you can help me though. :)

Looks like Bradley beats Pitt.

Yes as I hate pitt.:D

then I guess Texas' so called overhyped players can enjoy preparing for the sweet 16 while aggy is sitting at home

the aggy program is getting better but lets not get ahead of things

First of all, learn to spell "Aggie"

Second, you almost lost to Penn because Texas' players lack heart and mental toughness, an attitude put in place by their coach, Rick Barnes. Good coach, bad motivator. Texas has a notorious history of overlooking inferior teams.

A&M is the exact opposite, less talented, but has as much heart and desire as any team in the country, an attitude put in place by their coach, Billy Gillespie.

Texas lacks heart and toughness because of Rick Barnes? What BS...Barnes is one of the better coaches in the country and done a remarkable job with the UT program

Gillespie is a good coach but I wouldnt trade Rick Barnes for him

They have gone to sweet 16's, elite 8's and even the Final four under his watch. You dont win as many games as UT has with having no heart or no mental toughness

Over the past five years 52 different teams have reached the Sweet 16.

Of that number Duke has made it to all five.

The number of teams that have made it to four out of five?

Texas and UConn. That's it.

Yet UT players have no heart?

when A&M even sniffs the final four let me know

enternally classless

Yet your in here talking trash about how UT players are heartless. Pot...meet Kettle

A&M had a nice team this year but it remains to be seen how far the A&M program grows.

A&M has to play with heart because they are usually the inferior team.

And Bradley will be going down to the Mighty Memphis Tigers

I will root for them as you have to root for WVU...of course unless there is sometime when they would play each other, but not sure if that would happen.

Oh btw...I hope WVU gets revenge on their one point loss from earlier this season and takes out Texas.:D

I need BC over Nova and Duke over LSU and i will have a great shot at 1st place for march madness pool. pays 1,200. Im splitting it with a friend who picked all the games for me, he is a college basketball genius, got almost every game right in the first round. I havent ever watched a college basketball game until now, so much more fun when you have a chance to win something.

Don't hold yer breath there Jethro..... ;)

You texas guys better just hope WVU is not hitting their threes or the will find themselves pittsnoggled.

Umm, I think they were saying the same thing about NCS prior to tip yesterday.

I forget... how that work out for them?? :D

Just don't be shocked if they are hitting those threes.

I honestly hope the longhorns are over looking WVU like you are.

Oh and I may be mistaken but I don't think NCS has had the same percentage of 3's as WVU this year...could be wrong.

Geez, when did you grad from the "HH31 School of Posting"? Where did you read in my post I was "over looking" anyone, ESPECIALLY at this point in the tourny!!??

My point is, NCS had like a 4-1 ratio of 3's taken this year, to shots inside the ark coming into that game. But it was UT who went up 18-5, w/ Gibson hitting like 3 3's in a row at one point.

Then 2nd period, UT went back inside, while NCS went like 0-5 on trips down the floor, w/ like 4 of those shots being 3 attempts.

If you wanna get in a 3 point shooting match w/ UT, you better not go cold, because they can launch 'em w/ the best of 'em. Plus they got 2 of the best board crashers in the country in P.J. Tucker and LaMarcus Aldridge
