OT Trade

I'm wondering if this trade will involve a player because I find it hard to believe they want to give up another pick next year. Anyone know which teams kept 4 OTs?

Even swing tackles are hard to come by, so I wonder who they might be looking at. Broaddus' Tweet was rather vague. I would be shocked if there were many available. Swing OTs are like backup QBs. Few teams have one let alone a spare to peddle in trade.

Starting OTs aren't available at this time. Not sure even good backup OTs are available now. Whoever they get is going to be similar to Weems, I would guess.

We should get several comp picks next year so we'd be more willing than usual

Finally after all this time, Dexter Coakley will bring something valuable back in a trade!

I know that is the prevailing wisdom but it's not likely to be as many as expected. I think it will be two and they won't be very high either.

Considering we already don't have a 6th or a 7th rounder next year, trading at least a 5th should bring back a fairly quality player I would think if that is indeed the case.

Wouldn't it be cool if we were trading for a STARTING RT and moving Free to swing tackle? Although that would surprise me, it's possible. No?

If they could trade with Niners for retired RT Anthony Davis then you may get your wish! And Davis is still 27 and not that much removed from being one of the anchors on what was one of the best young OL in league.

About the only teams with a surplus of tackles are Carolina (Nate Chandler), Detroit (Cornelius Lucas) and San Diego (Chris Hairston, Joe Barksdale).

I would include New England's Marcus Cannon but that would be too good to be true and probably expensive.

I just checked his Twitter feed, unless I'm missing something all he says is, "they are looking at that spot now".

No mention of a trade. This could mean anything including waiver wire.

Huh? It has nothing to do with how players perform. We lost Murray, Carter, Durant, Harris, Parnell, Moore, Selvie, Spencer, and Melton.

We signed a few small money guys and Hardy.

We'll likely end up with a 4th and 3 6 or 7s.

He literally says "Believe they are looking at one right now".

Not clear if he meant looking at a trade scenario or an already available option at OT.
