494 - 761 yards 35% decrease.
Lamb 101 - 135 catches - 26% decrease
1,194 - 1,749 yards - 32% decrease.

Ferguson played in 14 games. So he was on the same pace for total catches as last season, if he played 17 games. So if you want to blame him for getting hurt in a contact sport go ahead.

CD played in 15 games and only 16 last season. So he would had to catch 34 catches in the 1 game he missed to finish with the same amount of catches as last season.

P.S. I thought CD was the one making Dak look good.

I am not comparing a TE to WR. Both numbers were down due to a back up QB.( and Ferguson playing less games - common sense for most people to understand). Maybe you're trying to also figure out why Diggs stats were down.

CD gets paid significantly more than Ferguson, so why did his number fall so much if he is a star? Plus he was so the guy that supposedly makes Dak look good, how come he could not do that for Rush?

It means a lot in todays game. Look at KC. A great receiving TE provides a security blanket for your QB. Kittle has made getting past SF difficult for us.

A great pass receiving TE is very relevant in todays game which is why I mentioned KC and SF. It’s a passing league. Kelce led KC in receiving in 2023. TE’s are like WR’s these days. Like I mentioned looking at the ancient history of the Cowboys, all 5 of their championship teams had great TE’s. Even under Romo and Dak some of our most potent offenses featured a great TE in Witten. We need a great receiving TE and that will be high on our list after this season unless someone really steps up BIG.
