OTA Practice Tweets

You have to realize there are a lot of people on this board and unfortunately that means a lot of stupid people too.

I know, but Burma outright said that I have been pimping Arkin to be a starter which is simply not true. And then visionary wants to get in on it as well.

I just don't get why folks want to dismiss the guy after the first year if he was on the inactive list. He was a forth rounder from a small school that needed time to gain weight and muscle to play in the NFL. The team was well aware of that when we drafted him.

I wonder if this will be the year that Teddy Williams becomes a football player. I have always pulled for the guy, but time is running out. He has the speed and actually looks like he belongs on the field in the preseason games. It would be great if he could hang on to be the 4th corner.

We already have 4 corners. There is no way he beats Scandrick or Jenkins out

bolded: my biggest pet peave with people on forums. You never say something, they think you did (who knows why, maybe it was actually someone else who said it, maybe they severely lack in reading comprehension skills) and you are forever the person who said that, without any proof. This phenonemon does occur a lot, and defies all logic.

I wonder if Arkin has gained much weight. I hope that he has packed some muscle mass on his frame.

The roster up on the website is supposed to have current updated heights and weights listed for OTAs and minicamps. He's listed at 310 there. The guy has a 6'5" frame, this isn't Clay Shiver. He he had plenty of room to grow. He just needed a supervised offseason program somewhere more advanced than the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

Really pulling for Arkin. Dude played his college ball 10 minutes from my house.

Really pulling for whoever can keep Romo upright and open some holes.

Cowboys WR Dez Bryant: "I'm more comfortable than my last two years. ... I feel like it's already much better. I'm more into the film."

Charean Williams‏@NFLCharean
Felix Jones still is rehabbing his shoulder so he isn't doing much in OTAs. Jason Garrett said he anticipates Jones being cleared by camp.

Jason Garrett says Danny Coale will have surgery tomorrow and should be back for "Day 1 of training camp."

Jason Garrett says Mike Jenkins will be a "big part" of this team. "We're not going to trade him."

I don't think it is set in stone that Jenkins will be here. He will be gone after the season for sure.

I'd take that with a grain of salt because they have Mackenzy Bernadeau listed as 308 and by accounts of others that seems to be incorrect.

Charean Williams‏@NFLCharean
Guard David Arkin has returned a better player than his rookie year. He is first team RG right now with Mackenzy out rehabbing.

I'd take this with a grain of salt too, i'm not sure if Charean said this or this was quoted from Jason Garrett. The DFW media is tweeting from Garrett's press conference at the moment.

The bar was so very low...

IR, I NEVER pay attention the roster weights until TC. That's when they seem to really update them. The only players that I think have been updated are the rookies and a few vets (Carter and Calloway's weights have been updated for some reason).

really, because someone quickly posting something on a message board made a mistake, our schools are going downhill?? let's not jump to conclusions over such a minor thing. I notice I often have typos or inproper use of words that I know better than when I read something I posted. It is not a big deal.

Arkin was basically reshirted for the year last year. He was a rookie for petesake. The thing about our young interior guys, arkin, costa, killer and nagy, they are fanantical football guys , who love the game and will do whatever it takes to be great. They will get to where they need to be as fast as they can. Id throw Leary in that group to. Im pulling for anyone who can take it to the next level. :D

I said this before on another thread, but Arkin is a Rorschach test, people see in him what they already believe or assume about the team. Believe that we'll always suck at drafting and developing linemen, then his rookie season proves that. Hope that we'll hit a diamond in the rough, and you can project that on him as well.

The truth is, he's about as complete an unknown to us as any non-rookie on the team. He proved last year to be exactly what everyone projected...a small school undersized rookie who needed development and strength, and that is really all any of us know abt him. Everything else is just fans filling in the blanks. I've been surprised by the "complete bust" posts and the projections that he won't make the final roster, but hey, I'm in the hopeful camp. I liked the pick and am rooting for him.

But having said that, I'm not reading anything into him starting in an OTA. Way too early to know much of anything with him.

Hey didn't you put in the request to have your handle changed to "Arkin's Pimp"?
