My least favorite pick will be our most impactful rookie next year.

Tapper is probably my favorite pick.

Great summary and agree after hating the Smith pick initially tbh...could flip a coin bw Tapper/Collins bc not so sure about Crawford's impact in the pass rush department (still disruptive, etc.).

That's funny..you and every divisional foe fan are going to hate the same player.

Is this where it is okay to say touche'? :D I agree with Toruk's perspective tbh but warmed up to Jaylon bc of spilled milk yada yada

Smith. I'm fine waiting for a season. Just think of it like a young stud QB waiting in the wings.

If he never plays a down, sure that would be disappointing. But let's not act like every 2nd round pick around here has been a success, healthy or not. I like the gamble here by Jerry & co. The potential reward is enormous.

Mine Is Collins..

I have so many favorites from this draft that it's extremely difficult to choose just one. But if I had to, I would go with Jaylon. He is going to be a franchise player and a real game changer on defense.

He reminds me of Patrick Willis.

I have to say Dak. I like most of the picks. But there's excitement at potentially finding a future franchise quarterback. Now i'm not saying that's Dak. But I am saying I don't know if he can't be either. He has the tools. You just don't know if his game will translate into the NFL. And the fact that we got him with the later 4th round pick......there's an excitement there. I loved all the picks though.

I'll admit that's true even as a trade up for Wentz guy initially; yeah next year's 1st:D. Learned a lot about him more so after the fact admittedly as well and dang fandom took over. He's got the tools, we got the coaches? etc Like the kid too personally; hard worker and he seems intelligent.

Crow's tolerable on Sundays when ya know you gotta go to work tomorrow.

I got to go with Jaylon Smith. I feel it was worth the gamble. If he heals up we got a steal and a stud. I also like the guys personality, his character and work ethic. He's my favorite guy besides Double E in this draft because I really want the kid to be healthy and succeed because he seems like a great guy, positive person who won't give up. We need players with that attitude in the locker room, that positive vibe can be contagious.

I agree 100%. To see what he went through from a freak injury that probably should never have happened and to see how he responded mentally and physically, I am hoping that he comes back even better.

Is the entire point of this thread to troll the people who obviously dont like the elliott pick?

It is a legitimate question....if asked who was your favorite pick, one would think over 90% would answer EE...so he is taking EE out of the equation...so who is your favorite pick AFTER round one, how's that?

Tapper. Underrated prospect with great potential and hustle. I hope he can play right away.

Second favourite, Dak. Because getting him at the end of the 4th was perfect. The team showed great patience in not taking him earlier.

Jaylon Smith is my top choice of any round including the first. Not sure I like the other picks but maybe Tapper is next.

Smith because the pick and following discussion taught me a lot about neurology.

People didn't believe me when I said Spencer would be back because of how his microfracture had progressed a few years ago. I have that same feeling about Smith's prognosis. Barring a setback he will be back sooner than people think.
Where do you see a healthy Smith play?

Im torn between Mike and Will. Both premium spots in any Tampa 2 variant. Im leaning toward Mike because with his football IQ and athleticism he can make plays on both the right and left exteriors as well as control the middle of the field.

I think EE is a catalyst player. I had to marinat the Smith pick a while but great value when he hits thr field.
Collins fills big need. His weaknesses I assume Rod will fix.

I like the sexy pick./ Edit you said other then EE so with little knowledge I'll go Collins
With Collins, his weakness shouldn't be exposed much early because all they will likely ask him to do is fire though gaps on passing downs as a rookie

Yeah.......i'm loving it. People are trying to attack his character for his mistake he made but I see the complete opposite. I see a good kid with leadership skills.

I love the Smith pick but one slight worry I have is at his size.....how his body will hold up in the NFL. IN his tape he looks built like a cornerback. Like Richard Sherman. I don't question the skill. I wonder does he bulk up?

You can be a 230ish Will in our scheme. I think its preferred actually. 240 is about what you want a Mike to be, and I think Smith can play at that weight with no problems assuming his knees heals enough to support it

He looks about in his 220's......that's just a slight worry I have. I don't care if he's 190 to be honest lol. His skill set can't be coached. He can gain weight if he needs to.
