Seriously AB. I would expect a bit more from you in this thread. You were doing real well for yourself until you got OT and then it kinda all blew up.

Please feel free to get back OT anytime. Im sure we would appreciate that. ;)

At the end of the day, you can not change the fact that you lost head to head. When all else is done, that's what it comes down to. Sorry dude, you got nothing for that and you know it.

I appriciate the kind words though. :)

And you will be sitting out looking in.

Cry more?

Cuz..umm..thats kinda what you keep doing, right? I mean when its all said and done. You are here just crying over the system.

I know it hurts, but it is what it is.

I would make a case for my team, but if UT leap frogged OU, I would EXPECT IT since my team got beat by Texas Tech later in the season and OU simply looked better.

UT fans should honestly be saying that either team deserves it. That's how I feel, but I'm forced as a fan to keep my team's argument alive because so many UT fans are throwing what we've down out the window due to one single "double digit" victory.

If Texas goes to the conference title, I think most rational OU fans would understand. Many would cry, but nothing like the tearfest that would run through the state of Texas if OU gets the nod.

I can't wait. I'm gonna hear the whining all the way up here in Oklahoma.

OU has given up 90 points in there last three games. Good teams don't do that, no matter how much it's ignored.

I'd have much more respect for this arguement if it had come a little closer to the 10/11 date.

You have nothing for the loss to Texas Tech do ya? I keep looking and you have NOTHING to make up for that loss to TT.

Just the win over Oklahoma. We follow.

Pretty easy to say when you didn't play a ranked team this past week.

Then 1-loss Texas Tech is better than the Longhorns.

Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. Missouri Tigers for the 2008 Big XII Championship

ya, but tech got romped, they pretty much put themselves out of it with that performance. the reason they arent benig discussed by anyone is because of that. you think if they lost by 6 or by 10 on a late touchdonw they wouldnt be still in the top five?

but, they dont deserve to be in the discussion.

Oh and I love how Texas hardly ever has to leave the state to play a game.

Honestly, how often do they actually leave the state to play? They play their biggest game in Dallas. They play a handful of games in Austin. Then you got Baylor, Texas Tech, and Texas AM.

And they usually play a team or two in the non conference schedule against a team from Texas, and that game is usually in Austin.

I wish OU could play 95% of it's schedule in the great state of Oklahoma. Must be nice.

ya, i guess its our fault that texas is the second largest state by mass and population right? 4/6 of our division is in the state, get over it. its not liek we go into college station and lubbock as heroes now is it? they hate us more than they hate you guys

We should make a super roster comprised of the three teams best players, we will call the Raidlongers and they will play Missouri. Everyone wins.

post of the thread right there!! a man with solutions!!

Tech beat Texas, so why shouldnt Tech play in the title game?

Notice how that KEEPS getting IGNORED?

because tech got stomped and was out of a game by halftime. texas and OU havent lost a game like that, thats why they are in the discussion and not tech, its not because of their history, as much as tech fans want to say that. case in point, almost losing to baylor at home today

This is what's sad about this thread. We should be discussing bad officiating, injuries and other issues on why our team won or lost then this whole BCS formula crap.

now there is somethign we can agree on. and here is the kicker, if it was reversed, you guys would be making the EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS WE'RE MAKING!!! and guess what, WE WOULD BE MAKING THE EXACT SAME ARGUMENTS YOUR MAKING!! can you imagine if there was this system in the nfl? we wouldnt have teams like the giants last year (unfortunately) but you get my point i hope

big 12 officiating sucks....i cringed when i saw the ref for the UT/A&M game....i dont know his name, but he is horrible.

I think the big 12 officials need to go back to zebra community college. They also need to get the replay refs better equipment and glasses, maybe send them to rehab, cause i have no idea what those guys in the booth have been on all year.

As far as injuries....two years ago, cause the refs screwed up on a call, the Horns go for it on 4th down and Colt scores a TD but gets hurt in the KSU game. The Horns go on to lose the game. Colt comes back for A&M, but isn't healed and they lose again. Last year, Bradford gets a concussion against TT, and OU loses the game. I am not sure if it was injuries or just a massive choke job against Colorado. This year, Ryan Reynolds goes out against UT, a huge loss in the middle of their D, and they lose by 10 to the Horns. Against Tech, Cosby gets hurt on the first series and doesnt return. Orakpo gets hurt during the game and cant return either. Both are huge losses for UT and they end up losing to TT. Today, Crabtree gets injured in the first half, but TT is able to overcome that huge loss and rally to beat Baylor. Tonight OU loses Box to a knee injury, but ironically, the defense gets better once he goes out, and shuts down the OSU offense for the win.

I have never seen a team have so much good fortune offensively on tipped balls as OU. Their ability to make something positive out of a tipped pass is absolutely uncanny.

No, we lost fair and square. If Tech got the bid, I'd say OK. That's the way it works. OU fans, on the other hand, well, that's a different story all together.

btw something that will help ou int he computers is the fact that both missouri and colorado lost, and texas beat both of them so that hurts their strength of schedule

Personally I would like to see ten 12 team conferences. Play all 11 teams in your conference. The top two teams record-wise in their conference play for the Conference title. The bottom 4 Conference Champions recordwise play the first week of the playoffs in the wild-card round, with the winners advancing to the Elite Eight. You rank the remaining teams from 1-8....1 v 8, 4 v 5 and 2 v 7, 3 v 6
