btw something that will help ou int he computers is the fact that both missouri and colorado lost, and texas beat both of them so that hurts their strength of schedule

And OU beat the Big East champion who is going to a BCS. That helps OU as well.

WTG Cincy.

Sorry about your QB.

If it blows your skirt up. By all means, proceed. :p:

You lost head to head. In the end, that's what counts but hey, I guess it really doesn't if the BCS says it doesn't.

Personally I would like to see ten 12 team conferences. Play all 11 teams in your conference. The top two teams record-wise in their conference play for the Conference title. The bottom 4 teams recordwise play the first week of the playoffs in the wild-card round, with the winners advancing to the Elite Eight. You rank the remaining teams from 1-8....1 v 8, 4 v 5 and 2 v 7, 3 v 6

my playoff would be the top 4 ranked conference champions, doesnt matter what conference as long as its divsion one. then the top top four ranked left over. seed the top 4 conference champs 1-4 and have them play home games against the other top four. play at a neutral site in the next round, then at neutral site again for the championship

What does that even mean?

What it means is that you like all kinds of leniency... but you want to jump all over the first person that disagrees with you...

We can leave this here or go to the political zone (careful)...

Don't accuse me of being biased... I call them as I see them... and I see (fairly) UT vs. Florida in the National Championship. Is it fair? No... not to you... but it's how I see it...

Just because I pick UT in there doesn't mean I betrayed aTm... PLEASE...

OU has given up 90 points in there last three games. Good teams don't do that, no matter how much it's ignored.

OU proved it could step up and stop the hottest offense in the country (Texas Tech).

Also, OU has the most prolific offense in all of college football. That's the sign of a good team, no matter how much it's ignored.

But you keep beating that drum. I understand where you are coming from but I can also argue why Oklahoma should be in it.

The Texas Tech LOSS by Texas is what screwed it all up.

If you had taken care of them, this would be a mute point all together.

Then again - if Oklahoma had beaten Texas......yeah we can do this all night.

Sorry about your QB.

yup, all that stuff and tcu playing great.

i think that OU will gain on UT in the computers, but i also think texas will gain on OU in the human polls. now who will be ahead after all the dust is settle is a completely different story. about the only think i can say for certain is that it will be paper thin close, the margin between them

So what if you have 3 schools who are undefeated like Utah, Boise St., and Ball St.? someone gets left out....not very fair.

In my system, those 3 teams get a legit shot at playing for the National Championship.

ya, but tech got romped, they pretty much put themselves out of it with that performance. the reason they arent benig discussed by anyone is because of that. you think if they lost by 6 or by 10 on a late touchdonw they wouldnt be still in the top five?

but, they dont deserve to be in the discussion.

ya, i guess its our fault that texas is the second largest state by mass and population right? 4/6 of our division is in the state, get over it. its not liek we go into college station and lubbock as heroes now is it? they hate us more than they hate you guys

And Texas lost to a team that doesn't deserve to be in the discussion. OU can't say the same.

All Texas schools share one thing in common, they hate OU and the state of Oklahoma as a whole. OU gets it just as bad as UT. Get over yourselves.

I'm not saying it's UT's fault that they never leave their home state, just saying it must be nice.

how come OU fans feel it is ok to use the win over Cincy in their argument when it happened in like week 2 or 3 and Cincy was kind of struggling then....but the UT win over OU happened way back in October....just wondering?

This is the most important thing you should remember in life...

UT 45... OU 35... it really matters...

well Utah would be in, there are only pac 10, sec and big 12 teams ahead of them so utah would be in. i just dont think realigning the conferences would happen very easily

Cincy wasn't struggling then at all. They played us well and their starting QB Dustin Grutza played a good game until he suffered a season ending injury.

If anything, Cincy better then. They had their team together with their starting QB. The Big East is just a struggling conference with a few pretty tough football teams.

The hottest offense in the nation almost lost to Baylor today. I don't think it's so much a matter of ingnor so much as it is a matter of one good defensive showing does not make a good defense.
