The fact that OU is being considered in the final game is a joke...

They lost by double digits to UT... we need playoffs...

Go Utah and Boise St...

I don't know if it's a "joke" but obviously playoffs would be better.

OU's been playing some great football lately.

I hope we don't lay another egg in one of these last two games, but I'm holding my breath. A NC win over Florida in Miami would be some sweeeeet redemption after some postseason futility over the past few years.

I feel bad for Texas if they're left out, but they may end up sneaking in yet if OU chokes against Mizzou.

Wow. You've already had several servings of sour grapes but you continue to munch them down. You keep going back to that game. Wake up. Dallas beat the Giants 2x last year but couldn't do it in the playoffs. Oh but we should whine that we won two out of three with your logic.

Here are the facts: OU almost got ahead of Texas last week in the BCS. This week you played a non-ranked team at home. We went to a 12th ranked team's home field and beat them by 20. Therefore you can sit back and watch the Sooners on television next week.

Hey, Gundy called the timeout

did he call the timeout or was the timeout charged because a player got hurt?

As a Texas fan, I'm not conceding anything until the polls are released, and I can't imagine why any other Texas would offer concession.

Mack is a classy guy, but he should at least consider running up the score when the opportunity presents itself.:D

I just deleted the game off my TIVO, but I believe he called the TO.

Well OU got their wish, they will go to play Mizzou and then go to the National Title game......and of course, they will once again lay a flippin egg.....they better hope Bama beats **, cause the Sooners want no part of Tebow and crew.

I just hope the voters give Texas an at large bid to the BCS. We wont get the Rose Bowl....but the Sugar or Fiesta would be nice.

UT will get a BCS bid if OU beats Mizzu....

please, OU has about as much chance of losing to Missouri as USC losing to UCLA

If OU loses to Mizzou, Texas could very well be playing in the national title game.

And Tech beat Texas and OU beat Tech.

And that's how we end up with a three way tie, so we go to the rules established by the league and OU ends up on top.

This could have all been avoided had Gideon not dropped the int in Lubbock or Baylor been able to hold on to their lead today..... Cause then, UT would still be #1 in the nation.

if by some miracle, Mizzou beats OU, then UT will most definitely be in the National Championship game against the Bama/** winner.

This entire scenario could've been avoided if the Longhorns had shown better clock management on their last offensive drive against Tech. Throughout his career at Texas, Mack has always been undone by the little things.

I just dont get how USC or PSU can get any opportunity at the National Championship game.....and they better not have one.

It should be UT or OU vs Bama or **

Case stated.

OU impresses with it's running game at 80% throughout the non conference schedule which included the Big East Champion, and a well ranked Texas Christian.

OU's loss does not look near as bad as UT's loss even though the Sooners' loss WAS to UT. OU demolishing Tech ALMOST evened things in my mind, but OU needed to do one more thing.

OU went on the road against a VERY WORTHY opponent in a rivalry environment. I'm sorry, but OSU's crowd is SCARY loud when the Sooner's are in Stillwater.

The Sooners lost to Texas which is one of the best teams. Texas plain ole got outplayed by Tech which proved it WAS NOT a true contender as it got sent packing in Norman.

OU proved they can play in a big game, nasty environment, go back and forth, then close the deal in the end against a highly ranked team on the road.

Texas proved it was stale in it's loss to TT and beat an overrated Mizzou and struggled more than OU against OSU IN AUSTIN.

OU is the hotter team now, and has done enough to leap Texas whether it be because of it's non conference schedule, or great improvements as the season progressed.

OU took over and dominated the end of the game tonight. That's what champions do. If anything, Texas made a case for OU with their average play toward the end of the season.

OU vs. Missouri for the 2008 Big XII Championship.
