Wow. You've already had several servings of sour grapes but you continue to munch them down. You keep going back to that game. Wake up. Dallas beat the Giants 2x last year but couldn't do it in the playoffs. Oh but we should whine that we won two out of three with your logic.

Here are the facts: OU almost got ahead of Texas last week in the BCS. This week you played a non-ranked team at home. We went to a 12th ranked team's home field and beat them by 20. Therefore you can sit back and watch the Sooners on television next week.

Again though we didnt let OSU score as many as OU did. On top of that we were at a neutral location and ranked lower than OU. What you are saying is that #3 OU beating #12 OSU by 20 > #3(unsure of rank at time) UT beating #1 OU by 10

This could have all been avoided had Gideon not dropped the int in Lubbock.

Bingo

Texas has no one to blame but themselves...and Tech for laying an egg in Norman

And Tech beat Texas and OU beat Tech.

And that's how we end up with a three way tie, so we go to the rules established by the league and OU ends up on top.

Sure. I don't disagree. But the reality is that Tech is too far back to be considered in the discussion. Texas is currently ahead of OU in the rankings. The Coaches poll has OU rated higher but the BCS computer rankings has Texas higher. Coaches poll makes up 1/3 of the final ranking. How on earth can any coach rank OU higher then Texas with this showing against OU, Texas' showing against TAM and the head to head? Tell me how that's right cause I don't see it. If the circumstances were reversed, I'd say Texas has no business beating out OU because it would be the right thing IMO.

Oh yeah, playoffs.......

Here are the facts, Texas Beat OU. Those are the facts and they are undisputable.

Go ahead and bury your head in the sand. Just like I said, the Cowboys should have made the Super Bowl since we beat the Giants more than they beat us.

Maybe you should start a why UT didn't get it done in the TT game?

Ive seen that excuse a few times the past couple of weeks from you.

What if's.

Not someplace I would hang my hat.

they arent what ifs.....i am saying this mess could have been avoided.....Texas blew their shot at a clean scenario with that dropped INT.....and now they have to politic and hope the voters will show them more love than OU....not a situation I would want to find myself in. when you fail to handle your business on the field, it can come back to bite you. Just like OU didnt handle their business in Dallas and TT didnt handle their business in Norman.

just saying

ps 45-35

Texas fans parading around with 45-35 signs was the second most pathetic thing I've ever seen, behind only Mack Brown begging, crying, and offering sexual services for his team to play in the Big XII Title game.

But...

Im not one to give excuses. Games are over and behind us.

Its the hornfans who keep bringing it all up.

But-but-but-but

Let's rent a plane and fly it over the OU/OSU game for a while. Yeah - that'll get us in.

Its just excuses.

I dont feel like looking it up, what is OUs record against TT in Lubbock since Leach has been there?

If I am not mistaken, TT beat OU in Lubbock last year. That is one tough place to play. IMO, the three toughest places to play in the Big 12 are Norman, Lubbock, and Austin, in that order.

The place OU played in tonight was as harsh as it gets when you're OU or Texas.

Oh and not to mention it was a rivalry game and OU's opponent was ranked #12. It's the same team that gave Texas fits in Austin.

Tech being "too far back" is irrelevant in my opinion, because the only reasons they're as far back as they are is that they don't have the history that OU and Texas have and they lost later in the season.

The fact remains that you have three great one-loss teams that all beat up on each other, muddying the picture.

I think you'll see tomorrow that OU will be ahead in the computer rankings as well. Obviously all the coaches look at the various teams and decide who they think the better team is and I guess they think that a 1 loss OU team is better than the 1 loss Texas team right now (and that both are better than the 1 loss TT team).

The Sooners lost to Texas which is one of the best teams. Texas plain ole got outplayed by Tech which proved it WAS NOT a true contender as it got sent packing in Norman.

so your most impressive win was against a team that wasnt really a contender as you stated, and at home. the only "real" contender, then, that you played since tech wasnt one, is texas, what happened in that game? since you and most of the pollsters have a horrendous memory about football past two weeks ago, ill remind you that OU was just as dominant going into the texas game. they met a BETTER team and lost handily, no argument there.

and how did tech outplay texas in the second half? if that idiot gideon, who went to high school with my fiance, didnt drop that easy interception that even my 38 week pregnant fiance could have caught this would all be a mute point.

OU proved they can play in a big game, nasty environment, go back and forth, then close the deal in the end against a highly ranked team on the road.

ya, thats why OU hasnt won a bowl game in ages right?

Texas proved it was stale in it's loss to TT and beat an overrated Mizzou and struggled more than OU against OSU IN AUSTIN.

hey, just to let you know, no one has scored more that 39 points on UT, and all the teams that OU destroyed by scoring 60 points on, UT allowed LESS points against those same opponents while resting colt for the entire fourth, not having him play into the end of a 30 or 40 point win like bradford did last wekk

OU is the hotter team now, and has done enough to leap Texas whether it be because of it's non conference schedule, or great improvements as the season progressed.

again, OU was playing just as good before the UT game, so bad pont

OU took over and dominated the end of the game tonight. That's what champions do. If anything, Texas made a case for OU with their average play toward the end of the season.

ya, by allowing 16 points in the last two games? AWESOME POINT!!

Mack is politicing for his kids.....I like that he does it. The system sucks and we all know it. No matter what happens tomorrow a very deserving team is going to get screwed over, be it UT or OU. I have no problem with Mack defending his team and speaking out for the kids who have played so hard for him.

Just like I dont see the problem with Stoopes or Leach running up the score....except that I wish he would allow some of his reserves to do some of that running it up.

That Mack Brown interview was pathetic but yet he was doing all he could to secure it for his team. At least Stoops avoided the talk after the game.
