uhh... ive broken my ankle 3 times and sprained it two more. For an ankle to be that blown up and bruised isnt an every game thing.

It actually didn't look that swollen to me, and I've torn ligaments in both ankles on numerous occasions... mine looked like I'd stuffed a softball under my skin...

Bruised, yes, but the swelling looked to be rather minor to me...

You could definitely get a bruise like that on your leg from a hit.

Yup, a knee to the thigh will do that to you... and it hurts like heck when you try to run on it, until you get it loosened up...

Why is Favre the only player to have pictures taken of his injuries?

Seriously though, regardless of the perceived severity of those injuries (or lack thereof), the guy is a friggin tank. I'm guessing that there are plenty of QBs half his age that wouldn't walk away from some of the hits he's taken (let alone keep playing).

I know I'm going to get flamed for this *dons flame retardant jersey*, but as bitter as I was about the loss and all and as much as I was rooting against them vs. the Saints, when he got hurt, taped and ran right back out there I couldn't help but want them to win. He plays with heart and leaves it all on the field.

You can hate the guy for lots of reasons but you got to give him props for putting it all out there on the field no matter what.

yeah, from a car. That is a hammy pull and it would likely put you on the sideline or have you hobbling noticeably.
