Can someone update us on our cap situation, including the tagging of Lawerence...and show how much we can save by cutting Dez before and after June

According to over the cap,

Restructuring Tyron and Fred, cutting Scandrick, and tendering Irving and Price should give us about $14M in space after tagging Lawrence.

We're a little over 17 right now. Lawrence tag will take up almost all of it.

This is with Martin on the books already, on the 5th year deal.

This is also before the salary cap increase that will probably happen again this year. About 10 mill.

I'd expect a Frederick restructure, possible cuts to Hanna and Mayowa, and a Martin contract extension that feeds up some cap.

With a cap increase, Fred restructure, and a cut or two we would pretty easily get to 20mill under. This is even without doing anything with Dez, a Martin contract, or a Lawrence contract.

We also have a ton of space for 2019 we could use for cap purposes.

After franchising Lawrence we have 4.5 million in cap space. But , after cutting Scandrick and restructuring Frederick we have about 12 million in cap space. If we work out a restructure with Dez should have about 16 million in cap space. If we work out a long term deal with Martin we could put his base salary very cheap in his first year which could give us well over 20 million in cap space.

Stephen Stephen Stephen, how you got us here babe, priceless.

The eagles turn around a mess in 2 seasons and we dump papers on the floor and say "see, we are so well off"

Wonder how many Kickers we bring into camp. I am a little worried about Bailey. I hope he gets IT back. If he is shaky in preseason, 4.2 million is a big number for a kicker.

That doesn’t include rollovers and inevitable cuts like Scandrick, Mayowa, etc.
Spotrac does adjust for rollover, so take that fwiw.

Releasing or trading Scandrick saves $1.4M
Mayowa $2.75M

However, Irving's tender will eat those savings.

They will have to restructure Tyron and Frederick's deals, and I guess you could look at Crawford to restructure if you had to but I wouldn't.

From the other salary cap thread. Hope this helps...
So according to Over the Cap, that leaves us with like $16.4MM. Does that include the $7MM carryover from 2017?
Yes it includes 7.9m in rollover..... there should be another 2-3m in adjustments leaving DAL around 4m under the cap after tagging DLaw for 17.1m

The majority of the cap space will come from restructures.........another 40m is easily available
