Very true. The more time I've spent on fan forums (which I enjoy very much) the less I care about the perspectives expressed there. Its good for a little fun and debate, but thats about it.

That is truer than you realize. And its why you have to look at things for yourself and go with what you see even if others dont see it.

True, we can debate but at the end of the day it is how the players respond to the HC that matters. In my view Garrett has done a hell of a job keeping this team focused on what needed to be done when all the outside world was mocking Dallas and saying they had no chance.

The main difference in this team is finally getting an OL and the two coordinators. Marinelli can make chicken salad out of chicken $#%@ and Linehan is a major upgrade in calling plays over JG.

Its SO important imo because belief in a system & its coaches is integral to long term success. The pressure of the win now NFL requires immediate results to keep a system and coaches in place regardless of the fact that those same coaches and systems should have remained without the immediately desired results (Look at Cleveland's coaching staff of the 90's for example).

Success breeds success and attracts players willing to get on board with the program having seen how well it can work. I believe the Pats benefit from this concept greatly and in many ways, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

I expect this years success to have long lasting positive effects going forward both in how the team is run and how they continue to build a team.

Exactly. Once you get the culture set, you just have to add guys who will absorb it. Much easier than getting the guys to set it in the first place. That's how stability pays off over the long haul if you get the right culture set.

And that culture is what Garrett has done really well in creating. Just a fantastic job on that front! Seems to be his biggest asset.

I think this is true. It doesn't diminish what Red has done but the Red Kool Aid crowd somehow sees this as being disrespectful or bashing to the HC. And I don't know that's it all the playcalling but a huge difference cannot be denied and Red has been with most of these guys on offense for years - so what made the difference THIS year?

Tony Romo made some comments about Red and in giving him credit said that Jason "will figure it out." That can be taken as a real compliment, but it also may be revealing in that it took a while to "figure things out." Which is it? Or both?
