Maybe the thought is Clai would be a "progress stopper." Draft a CB first round or second and just play him. Carrroll merely vet depth.

Let's not forget 2000 Mario Edwards, Kareem Latimore, Dwayne Goodrich. How about drafting best player available on Defense. At least for the first 4 rounds.

I'm with ya. But they can and should move around to pick best available DB in the first three rounds. Can't lost starting DBs and replace them with JAGs

I see us drafting 1 CB and 1 Safety by the 4th round. i don't see us draft a second corner or safety. Can find depth players after the draft. Especially this year with how deep DB is.

I see it the same way. 1 SS and one CB. Preferably rounds 1 and 2.

I prefer taking a DE or TE between the 2 but back to back picks on DB's is very much possible this year.

Brown, Scandrick, and Carrol with a rookie as the 4th CB. McFadden, UDFA or camp signing as 5th.

Jones, Heath, Frazier + a rookie will make up the 4 S's we will most likely carry. Again, maybe a udfa/late pick up undressed on the 53

But just not a whole lot of room to add a bunch of guys to the secondary...especially if Mo or Carr come back.

I fully expect a TE, LB, and DE mixed in with a CB and S.

Agreed. We might draft a late round CB to compete with McFadden. I just want to make sure we get high pedigree DBs to replace who we lost.
