This is going to be so glorious to watch. Not necessarily because of the race part, but just because it's the Commanders and the media was worshipping the ground that RG3 walked on in his rookie season.

And they still do it seems. They will not admit to anything he doesn't do well. Or I never heard them be critical. Other than a few said he wasn't setting his back foot corrctly, but gave him a pass on it.
But Romo throws a pass with some wobble, watch out.

We have four below average QBs in that span.(Eli included) I think while we have a great chance to win those while getting everyone healthy, and back from taking Molly. I seriously think we could be gaining momentum...

I don't think the QB Dallas faces matters as much as the defense. Dallas almost beat Denver last year with Peyton Manning because the Broncos weren't very good on defense, and lost to Kansas City with Alex Smith because the Chiefs had a stout defense that made it tough on our offense.

Fortunately. it doesn't appear that too many top defenses are on the schedule early. Seattle, San Fran and Houston appear to be the toughest.

All the off season bashing and negative threads and posts and we won 8 games last year? Could have fooled me. My guess would have been we went 3-13 or 4-12 at best.

It's not just the 8-8 record, it's how they got to the 8-8 record and the fact that for three years in a row, we've had to watch the Giants, then the Commanders, and then the Eagles eliminate the Cowboys on the final game of the season and go on to win the division. Not to mention, that the Cowboys had opportunities in each one of those seasons to clinch the division before that final game and blew those games in an incredible fashion each time. That's why the off season bashing and negative threads occur, and rightfully so.

(I took my genus pills just a while ago so I feel very intelectal and stuff.)
It is instructive to recall the state of our defense when we compare it to "below-average" QBs.
On offense, we can compete with anyone, I believe, except the powerful defenses of Seattle, Denver and maybe others in the top tier.
But on any given Sunday (and you will pardon me If I use that cliche) any ol' team with any ol' QB can beat our defense.
Even had our defense survived the preason without injuries or suspensions, we'd still half a defense that is bottom tier.

So let us not take no QBs for granted. They can fly under the radar with their receivers and catch our below-average secondary (even without injuries or suspensions) flat-footed and befuddled.

Never underestimate no team. Never!
Holla before my smart genus pills wear off.

This is a team that won 8, and was within a score of winning another 6 last year. Suggesting we have 'a great chance to win' against teams with relatively poor QB play isn't the same thing as predicting 7 victories, and it's not exactly drinking kool-aid. I'd suggest that the OP in this case is closer to objective than the few posters who are trying to poison the intent of the thread. Though, I'd admit the Cowboys=Superbowl handle from a relatively new poster has me questioning his judgement and motivations a little bit.

Yes! A team that won 8 and could half won 6 more! I don't see how we missed out on the Super Bowl. I would call last year a moral victory overall!
Thx for reviving my confidence on this team that could half won 6 more!!!! yeah, we be BAD!

You're misunderstanding me, badly. And I think on purpose.

We lost 8, too. The only point is that in this league, the line between winning and losing is really, really thin. Meaning a lot of teams have 'a great chance to win' a lot of games. To pretend we don't for whatever reason is not being 'realistic.' It's being needlessly, dramatically, pessimistic.

We get it: it stinks that we keep missing the playoffs. It stinks that we're not a better team. Those facts don't change the basic rules of math.

Well, the basic rules of math says 8-8.

But after reading your post and response, I really, really, feel better about our 2013 season that overall, was a season of 8 wins and 6 moral victories. And two games that we lost fair and square.

Then, you're misreading my post and my response. The fact that the line between winning and losing in the league is thin doesn't make winning or losing any more likely.

Well at the corps of your responses, you are espressing a thot that I would like to half too, and that is things are not/were not as bad as they seemed last year. that I get.
And you is right: a penalty here, a fumble there and we win some or lose some. A thin line, indeed.

This is kind of gibberish, but I think you're reading the core of my response incorrectly.

My only point is that there's a thin line between winning and losing in the NFL. The only relevant context was whether or not we had a great *chance* to win a lot of the games we played. It does not follow that it means we're going to win more games just because the line between winning and losing is thin.

OK, OK, the thin line. the line between 8 AND 8.
And WE HAD A CHANCE TO WIN MORE!
LOOK, Ms. busty and I will pick you up at 7 p.m. in my DeLorean. We'll swing by the drugstore and get some plutonium and take off to year 2013 and watch those close games. Ms. busty is bringing along Amber and her pole so you wont be a third wheel.
We will half a good time watching those close games. (Amber likes the Olive Garden afterwards because she heard one of Hef's playmates rave about the food there). If jerra wants to come along we will stop by for Tiffany.
Other than that, STOP IT. YOU ARE TEARING ME APART!

Yes we need intervention. Idgit cant lay down a premise and I cant compehend what it is he wants to drive into the ground. we need a peacekeeping mission here.

Hey, now. You can't hold it against me that you keep misunderstanding my clear intent. Or that I can't understand your last creative writing post about Mrs Busty and your time machine. If I can't even guess at the thread of the intent of your argument, I'm literally unable to respond with anything that's going to make any sense.

Gimme is blessed with an amundance of imagination, that glows in personal views of cherished items.

Gimme has staked a point of principal now, that affixes itself to the previous year's fragileness of a season. Many things came down to but very minor and player mistakes or missed opportunity. He would love a revisit to those opportunities and view them in real time and place. But when brought forward into a current projection and resting the comparison in the feet of what was a 8-8 season...well, that minuscule departure point, by itself, is disturbing to a future projection.

Since Gimme prides himself on common sense and an amplified, but satisfying view, based upon enjoying an enriched as well as purely asthetic satisfaction of taste...well, he must decline such a move - away from such both a fragile as well as destructive picture.

The preferred picture, was of a highly caricatured 'night on the town.' With a companion of intriguing and fun making character. And a Cowboy related theme drawing in Jerry with a 'special' companion and the opportunity to share some merriment making beverages as well...

If given time, Gimme might have defined not wanting to get into the chemical properties and diversity of the grains of sand in the line being drawn between a progression of back to the future, in further scrutiny of the past 8-8, when we are but a week away from this season. And a valid point here...as we move.

Mrs. Busty is an enhancment term when applied to a somewhat descriptive and artistic view of a companion upon a joy ride. The departure of a joy ride, leaves ground for not directed consideration without a real confrontation. Kind of a Don Quixote type and classical approach...at least in Spanish literature...and by a whole culture in the 60's cultures that were 'hidden.' The average 'Joe' accepted a loose jargon to deal with troubled times and still find meat to seek one's teeth deeply into as well. Kind of like a Cajun asking, 'What you gona' done did?'

A simple thought that can be reflective of a love or respect hidden from plane view, but meant..
