Obvioisly we pick at 28 so there will be 27 players off the board when we pick. I would expect that all of the immediate impact edge rushers will be long gone by the time we pick which will leave us with a developmental player at de regardless if he is taken in the first round or the 4th or 5th.

It is entirely possible that the best value on the board when we pick would be at right offensive tackle. I know that would make the collective heads of many on this board explode, but it would probably be a great use of the pick.

The future of this franchise is now Dak and Zeke and need to be protected. If Dak has time to throw he does a great job of hitting the open man.

A dominant right tackle (one may actually be available when we pick) would solidify the line and drive the average cost per player down on the offensive line. It would also enable us to let Collins walk if we chose to at the end of his contract or resign him and keep the line intact.

A very good guard can be had in the top 3 rounds of most drafts. We can save a lot of cap by moving on from the turnstile, Free and give us flexibility moving forward.

It would be even more awesome if we could get a trade back and still get a great right tackle and a pick. The identity of this team is the offensive line and we need to keep that identity and make Dak and Zeke super effective going forward.

As much as we need defense help, we have to get a good WR. I seen Atlanta shred GB and I give it to their wr play for much of their success.

I'm a big fan of turning pick 28 into an extra 2 and 3.

Really only two Tackles that *may* be BPA at our pick. Ramczyk and Robinson.

I'm sure Seattle will take one, and another team probably will take the other. I don't think Bolles will be BPA at our pick. The only WR I think stand a chance of BPA are Williams/Davis but they'll be gone. We aren't taking Ross.

A lot of good defensive players will be there, pretty confident defense will be BPA. Lucky us.

If we are going to rush only 4 then you better one or two studs on the Dline and we dont have one.

I still think a player to consider where we pick would be OJ Howard. Witten is thinking retirement, and you saw the value of a TE that can stretch the field last week.

I'd be cool with just about anything in the 1st round, assuming they can contribute immediately.

Thinking DE, WR, RT.

Not our norm, but we should make a reasonable trade up to get whatever DE we think can be a difference-maker. This presumes we don't spend in free agency to sign one.

I think we go BPA for most positions, except for QB, RB, interior OL, and LB if Smith continues his recovery. As you mentioned, a dominant RT would be awesome. A fast, explosive #2 WR would make this offense deadly and could "grow up" with Dak. A young TE could do the same. Of course, A DL or any position in the secondary would also be great. The big thing we have to avoid is reaching for a position.

I think there's a point when you have to move on from addressing one positional group to address another. I understand we're a RT away from a freakishly dominant O-line, but we already have a dominant O-line. We're a heck of a lot away from a dominant D-line or secondary. We could even use another dominant WR or even a TE. Anything but O-line, please. If BPA is OL, I'd rather trade back a few spots if we could get some extra value.

The 1st round pick has to go to the defense.. Obviously we need pass rushers, but late in the 1st round is typically where you find value at cb and safety if we stay put.

Frankly I would trade the entire draft if it was possible to get Myles Garrett.

They've spent enough 1st rd picks on the OL. If they continue to neglect the defense, 5 years from now Dak will have the same kind of playoff record as Romo. They've got 2 WRs on the roster and not a single position group on defense that doesn't need help before trying to find a replacement for Free.

The improvement a 1st Rd defender would give you is far more valuable than the difference between Free and one of these OTs at 28.

They also put pressure on Rodgers. Our DL played patty cake with the Packers OL. This draft needs to be defense all the way.

I agree we need defense but a WR needs to be picked up either in the draft or FA.
