I have been critical in the past. But I have agreed with every move ourFO has made. From not overpaying for an injury prone RB. To drafting/signing 3 first round talents. To locking up Cole and Dez. To taking a chance on a tone setting all pro DL And now trading a 7th for a RB more talented than any RB in this draft not named Gurley or Gordon. Kudos. I could not be happier with this offseason.

I agree. Michaels was actually 62nd pick and to given up only conditional 7th rounder is value folks. The only other spot I would like to see churning is McCray spot. I want ST who can actually play a defensive position.

It hasn't been without a lot of worry and hand wringing but in the end things are looking pretty darn good.

CMike is perfect for this RBBC and we are actually releasing some talented DL, what a difference a year makes.

BUUUT...JJ and JG still don't know what they're doing. This (as well as every other good pic/move) was all blind luck...

Agreed and don't forget about kicking off the offseason by locking up the bulk of the coaching staff!

You judge decisions based on the knowledge available at the time the decision is made, not on something that was unknowable at the time.

Good decisions can have poor results and bad decisions can have positive results.

Decisions are just guesses until the results play out.

Have to add in drafting Gregory as well. The only mistake I see is passing on Rawls twice in the 7th. They must have thought they had him locked up already. Now I'm hoping they snag one of these backup QBs as a cherry on top.

Matt Jones and Ameer Abdullah might have something to say about that... among potential others.

Otherwise, I agree with your post.

Look, I get being excited about the FO making "good moves" but please stop it with the over the top hyberbole about Michael being better than any runner in this draft save two.

If he were that, I doubt the Seahawks FO, one that has been to consecutive conference championships, would just give up on him.

Lol.. It's so refreshing to see people take notice that Jerry & "the gang" had a plan all along.. All the folks that was smearing JJ name are finally put in check. Hopefully we will stop seeing comments like "Jerry doesn't know what he's doing" and "JJ's ego won't allow him to do this, or do that"... Whatever people, yall sound just like all the other haters. Jerry was the "Executive/GM of the year" last year for a reason! And it's looking like he's going to do it again if this plays out like most fans think it will. I for one am proud of the state of our Cowboys and thank the FO for not making rash decisions bc of "arm-chair" fans that think they know best. I can't wait for the season and yes, I'm drinking a tub full of kool-aid. #GoCowboys!!

Ray, Long time, no talk. Seems like you are talking sense (this time, at least). Go Cowboys. Best.

I largely agree
2 positions I'm still worried about

1. Back up qb
2. PR/KR

I think this trade for Seattle is like what happened to us with Martellus Bennett we were never going to get his full talent playing behind Witten, did we want to keep him talent wise yes, mentally he was stresser for the team.
We are benefiting from a poor "team fit" position wise with Michael and the SeaHawks. This guy can be a knucklehead so get ready for some uncomfortable moments. It was a great value for a conditional seventh, well done FO/Valley Ranch. I know it sounds like Ro McClain V2 which is not too far astray. He has the talent for a great RB not so sure the football acumen is available consistently.

We can only hope this works out like a Bennett or Justin Forsett situation where the players thrives on the new team.
