see your ego talking again.

you just said, I am not a fan that expects success which is a 100% totally made up finger pointing comment coming from you. I expect success in the forms of superbowl trophies, just like all other fans.

so don't try to make yourself into this I am above all others superfan, looking down at everybody else. take that ego and shove it (you know where).

the difference is I enjoy things differently along the way. you don't. you are misreable. I expect post season success. want post season success. you rather not see that, so you can be right...see we are different.

and I claim that you will not enjoy the cowboys success. if we win the superbowl you will put a fake post because you feel obligated and then write 100 posts complaining about short comings of Dak in the superbowl and how the team won despite him. GAURANTEED. because you know, as you say you are the superfan!!! that wants multiple superbowl trophies and not satisfied with one...;)

with you is about you being right. that is freakingly evident from every comment you post.

your ego has you by the balls. it controls you. you can't manage it.
If you have to type this much it's coming from a not confident place.

If you believed in the things you say you can say them short and sweet.

You just ramble trying to get your points across.

dont we have the number 1 scoring offense since Dak's return?

You know I have NEVER been a huge Dak fan, but we dont need him to thro for 300 until he needs to throw for 300. He clearly can. Didnt he have several 400 yard games last year? This is a ridiculous topic IMO. But lets have at it.
If we have the #1 offense with Dak just imagine how great it could be with a dependable, consistent, and talented player at QB.

Run the ball at all costs.
Our passing game goes like this.......
Prescott for 3 yards.
Prescott for a screen taken by CD for 20 yards.
Prescott to our TE for 4.
Prescott dumps it off for 3.
Prescott for over 8 yards....intercepted or overthrown/dirtball.
Just keep the Bus Driver at 3rd and under 4 and we might get a 1st down.:omg:

@Rockport posted a video yesterday where Jesse Holley was talking abt the route concepts in Kellen’s offense. He basically said most teams will have one receiver that is responsible to win his matchup while the other side will have scheme in place to help them get open. He said in the Cowboys offense all receivers are expected to win their route without much scheme help. He went on to say this is when the offense bogs down because there is no where to go with the ball. I found it kind of interesting because teams that can stop our run game will also usually snuff out the pass game. No run game makes PA ineffective and if what he is saying is accurate it correlates to what happens when our offense faces good defenses. Take it FWIW

Rocky’s video

Which makes it even more bizarre that we didn't look to seriously upgrade WR in the offseason after we dumped Cooper.

Our offense is predicated, moreso than most, on having oodles of talent at WR. Because we don't scheme this guys, we expect them to just win their matchups.

The only thing that matters is who commands the trenches. Whether we run or pass for X amount of yards is irrelevant. Matchups will dictate the recipe to beating each different teams.

The stats show that when we run as much as pass, we are usually successful but when we face a team that efficient against the run, like the Niners, the passing game may have to lead the way….and vice versa

I already know how this thread will go.

Someone tell me this is a good thing. That we're a run first team.

It obviously is a good thing because it shows the running game is working very well and we aren't getting way behind where we have to pass to get back in games.

I know you think saying that is somehow an excuse for Dak, but that is isn't about Dak, it's about the team as a whole. The running game, the defense, the overall efficiency of the offense etc ...

That said, while I'm not nearly as negative about Dak as you are, I agree he is not an elite, carry the team on his back kind of QB. I will also say he has gotten away with too many passes that could or should have been picked off this year.

Still, your post should get called out because it provides a narrow picture and skips much of the story ...

1. The team had a 300 yards passing against Minnesota, but between 2 QBs because Rush played in the 4th quarter after the Cowboys got a big lead.

2. 5 of those games were with the backup QB starting.

3. With big leads in the 4th quarter in several games the team was focused on running and keeping the clock moving

4. Dak had 295 the last game of 2021, and there really isn't anything magic about an extra 5 yards.

5. Dak had the 7th most passing yards in the NFL in 2021, so it's been established he can have big passing days.

6. Many fans have criticized the Cowboys and Dak when Dak throws for big yards, saying Dak isn't that kind of elite passer and the team is best served by a balanced attack, so it's a bit disingenous to now criticize the Cowboys and Dak when Dak throws for a more moderate yardage total while the team succeeds with a balanced attack.

Per the usual…your call out was spot on.

Dude everyone wants an elite QB I don’t understand rehashing the same thing over and over. The chances of landing a top 5 guy are rare, you act as if we can just snap our fingers and get a Mahomes/Allen/Burrow.

Outside of the top 4-5, there’s 10ish QB’s who are interchangeable. QB’s who can only do so much alone and need a complete team and coaching staff. That’s football bro.

Everyone wants an elite QB, but the supply is the most limited of any position in sports. It’s such a futile thing to complain about because it’s not solvable without extreme luck and good fortune.

We have as good a chance as any team that doesn’t have an elite QB in a year where there’s barely any in the conference.

Asking us to imagine what it would be with an elite qb is such a random hypothetical lol. Could do this with every postion. Imagine if we had an elite WR, an elite DT, an elite C, an elite S, and elite LB, an elite HC, an elite RT, lol the list goes on and on.

If you just want to imagine a team with elite players everywhere that’s totally cool. But complaining about the offense when it’s humming because we don’t have Patrick Mahomes at QB is so pointless. There’s no fix to that man even if the Joneses wanted Dak gone what the heck is the solution? Trade for a guy like Russell Wilson (which you were a proponent of)? How’s that working?

27-28 teams do not have elite QB’s man, hardest position to find. The solution when you don’t have one is to build a complete team with high quality coaching. We are trending in that direction, let it play out. We all want playoff success man, but complaining about a 9-3 regular season and a statistical beast of an offense is so random.

If you want to say, “let’s wait and see” that’s totally logical. But why crap on them for being good at the moment?
