If we have the #1 offense with Dak just imagine how great it could be with a dependable, consistent, and talented player at QB.
If you have a QB throwing an extra 10 times a game, that would change the dynamics of the offense, and it may not be #1. It's about how the offense functions, not just one player.

Aikman, for example, was not a prolific passer. He could put up the occasional big passing day if needed, but what made him and the offense function at a high level was that he did what was needed for the offense as a whole, not just what would look good for the passing game.

And yes, I know Dak isn't Aikman. I was just illustrating the point that the key is helping the offense as a whole function at a high level.

Dak is an anchor.

You think we blow bad teams out with Dak? Imagine if we had a real QB.
I knew this was going to bring out the haters. Any thread to do with the passing game does. What’s funny is you actually think anyone gives a damn what you say about Dak. Everyone knows your sole existence here is trashing Dak.

I would believe nobody cared about my opinions if you didn't respond to everything I say.

Well this title had "limited" thought put into it. How does that make our passing game "limited"?? Passing for 300 yards don't mean automatic wins..... and last time I checked, we have a winning record.

So do you have any links of coaches, GMs, current or former players, HOFers saying we have a limited passing game??

I'll wait....

Our QB room sucks. Don’t know why this comes as a shock, nor is this news. Anyone here who does not want to see that is blinded by hopeless optimism that Dak will someday rise from inexistent ashes and become the next Patrick Mahomes, which many here believe is a monger he can reach, which is simply not true. I’m more likely to win the mega millions.

if lack of 300 yard games = sucking, what does a boon of them mean?

If you have to type this much it's coming from a not confident place.

If you believed in the things you say you can say them short and sweet.

You just ramble trying to get your points across.
yeah, make up stuff. divert. point fingers. make assumptions. deflect.

its what you do and what you are really good at.

I believe everything I said. because its the truth.

I don't have to hide behind a facade and point fingers and feel like I am above anybody...

my ego doesn't hold me by the balls

so maybe you should change your signature to " I am Cowboys Superfan , the rest of you suck"

The problem with that is the Cowboys have lost the TOP in most games this year.

Try again. Maybe excusing the QB will be more successful next time. May I recommend blaming the scheme?

i'm not so much sure they've lost it, as they've scored quickly and efficiently more often than the other team

We had over 300 yards passing against Minnesota, it's just that 31 were after we put Rush in because the Cowboys had a huge lead.
oh, my bad. I missed that one. that makes 2 games in the past 14 that we had over 300 yards passing.

and the record in that span 10-4.

but yeah, not good enough because it didn't include 300 yards passing. what's the purpose of the tweet is beyond me, but hey, bunch of dak bashers clicked. so I guess it served its purpose.

Run the ball at all costs.
Our passing game goes like this.......
Prescott for 3 yards.
Prescott for a screen taken by CD for 20 yards.
Prescott to our TE for 4.
Prescott dumps it off for 3.
Prescott for over 8 yards....intercepted or overthrown/dirtball.
Just keep the Bus Driver at 3rd and under 4 and we might get a 1st down.:omg:
40 M baby count them....burn baby burn

22 of 25 3 TDs.... LOL

Some people see this and say "Man, our offense is good! #1 overall with our QB not even needing to do much!"

I see this and say "Man, imagine how much better the offense could be with an actual talented QB!".

silliness they were number one last year too with him doing too much. this is exactly what we're hoping for. give it a rest.

Dude everyone wants an elite QB I don’t understand rehashing the same thing over and over. The chances of landing a top 5 guy are rare, you act as if we can just snap our fingers and get a Mahomes/Allen/Burrow.

Outside of the top 4-5, there’s 10ish QB’s who are interchangeable. QB’s who can only do so much alone and need a complete team and coaching staff. That’s football bro.

Everyone wants an elite QB, but the supply is the most limited of any position in sports. It’s such a futile thing to complain about because it’s not solvable without extreme luck and good fortune.

We have as good a chance as any team that doesn’t have an elite QB in a year where there’s barely any in the conference.

Asking us to imagine what it would be with an elite qb is such a random hypothetical lol. Could do this with every postion. Imagine if we had an elite WR, an elite DT, an elite C, an elite S, and elite LB, an elite HC, an elite RT, lol the list goes on and on.

If you just want to imagine a team with elite players everywhere that’s totally cool. But complaining about the offense when it’s humming because we don’t have Patrick Mahomes at QB is so pointless. There’s no fix to that man even if the Joneses wanted Dak gone what the heck is the solution? Trade for a guy like Russell Wilson (which you were a proponent of)? How’s that working?

27-28 teams do not have elite QB’s man, hardest position to find. The solution when you don’t have one is to build a complete team with high quality coaching. We are trending in that direction, let it play out. We all want playoff success man, but complaining about a 9-3 regular season and a statistical beast of an offense is so random.

If you want to say, “let’s wait and see” that’s totally logical. But why crap on them for being good at the moment?
Gill, That post is so excellent!
I wish you would start a thread with that as the opening post!
It needs to be more widely seen.
Please consider my suggestion.
Thanks, John

Dak throws for 350 yards and the Cowboys lose - Dak sucks!

Dak throws for 200 yards and the Cowboys win - Dak sucks!
Dak throws for 350 Yards and Cowboys Win - Dak Sucks because the other team was weak, the WRs made incredible catches, he wasn't accurate, his deep throws are bad

there is always something to spin to.

I do not give a shiet about Dak stats. Ias long as we win. I don't care about Rush stats. I want the best players on the field that will help Cowboys win. end of story. seems like a lot of Dak bashers is all they are focused on is Dak...

to Dak Bashers, if you don't like Dak, then tell me who you would replace him with and why they are better...else all you have is some hypothetical theory.
