As for our second pick, I'm good with a defensive player who can start. I guess I'm being greedy and want more picks, but if we get a good defensive player, I'm good.
Outside of getting our next franchise quarterback, what I was looking for out of this draft was a return to our ground-and-pound game with a back who was better than just a rotational guy, a pass rusher and a cornerback. If we come away covering those three positions, I'm good.

NFL.co says it would be Spence, but now with Jack's med having people panicking, it could be him.
My guess is neither.

But bottom line is this is setting up for Dallas to get tow good players the net two picks.
Moreso if they pull the small trade down, then use the new pick to trade up into the 2nd from 3...lock in two of these guys maybe

Why wait a year on Jack, he can play now. Your mistaking Jack's injury for Smith's injury. Smith has nerve damage and drop foot, earliest he can play is 2017 but could be out 2 seasons depending on how quickly that nerve can recover.

I'm all in on Spence. He has legit double digit sack potential and seems to have gotten his issues in check. From a team as desperate for pass rushers as we are, he's too good for me to pass on. Sadly I think the Cowboys will pass and take Dodd instead. Lower upside, but low risk off the field.
