I think Jack continues to fall to mid 2nd or below. If we can get a trade partner down to 45 or above, pick up a 3rd & a 4th we might still get Jack. I'm hearing there will be a run on Guards & RBs in the 2nd so the chance of a DT or DE should still be a viable option if someone scaps up Jack in front of us.

If Jack pans out, great. If he doesn't we still get a 3rd and a 4th to fill holes and there's lots of depth in those 2 rounds.

I don't like taking flyers on medical issues, but for a #5 ranked talent, and the advances in surgeries, I'd take that gamble with the extra 3rd and 4th.

Give me Dodd at 34, the DE from Maryland (Ngakoye?) in the 3rd, and Miles Killebrew in the 4th. I will be one very happy guy

Im really liking the idea of Reggie Ragland. He can be our longterm answer at Mike linebacker (Rolo isnt) and we can permanetly kick Lee to weakside backer

I really like Ragland for our starting MLB too, but I don't know much about the medical concerns over him having an enlarged aorta. Of the top picks we have brought in for visits this offseason, Kevin Dodd[DE] and A'shaun Robinson[DT] are the highest rated defensive linemen left. The wild card pick I'd be willing to gamble on would be Myles Jack depending on how our doctor's evaluate him.

They can't blow this pick, right? Either of these would improve the defense tremendously. As for Jack, I think his condition carries about as much risk as Gregory's drug problems last year.

Jack
Reed
Robinson
Dodd
Ragland

A lot of good defensive ends and tackles left. Probably better to get the best pass rusher.

Why wait a year on Jack, he can play now. Your mistaking Jack's injury for Smith's injury. Smith has nerve damage and drop foot, earliest he can play is 2017 but could be out 2 seasons depending on how quickly that nerve can recover.

Jack can't play now and may need micro fracture surgery
Pass at 34

Dodd would be hard to pass up, but A'Shawn Robinson is far and away the best prospect on the board IMO.
