As long as they have the ability to get open quickly, hence the quickness requirement.
Good receivers have been getting open quickly their entire careers.

Our next slot/redzone guy is most likely already on the team. The Cowboys have already acknowledged they most likely have a in-house solution to replace Cobb. I know that drives people crazy when the don't specify who that player is but we have a few options. Cedric Wilson and Devin Smith are among those options.I saw this over on Dallas Cowboys.com that we are interested in this guy.
As our new slot receiver and Redzone guy..
Looks good.

I understand. That video highlight outside WR traits and deep ball WR traits...
lol spell check SLOT definitely not slow.. oopsJust trying to understand what you mean by that?
I disagree we have gallup for 2-3 more years and we may pay him if he keeps ascending, think 3years from now AC MIGHT BE CUT OR NOT.. you cross that bridge 2-3 years from now, we need a true slow speed guy similar to Beasly on the cheap ie rookie deal..
other teams have multiple WRs under larger deal.. we will get a WR in round 3-4 that is a true slot guy..no team will just pad a postion when you have 2 starters already under deals for 2-3 more season..
plus if we end up needing another outside WR, that will be a round 1 draft and not happening this year, besides we got AC when we were desperate and that can happen most any year..
Keep an eye on..

Summary - Lynn Bowden projects in the short term as a gadget player in the NFL — although there is the ceiling to develop into something much more with focus on specialization as a receiver. Bowden was pressed into action as an option QB in 2019, which took away valuable opportunities to work on polishing his route running skills. In all, Bowden is an exciting open field athlete with natural play making ability. Long-term projection is into slot, where his quickness can shine.
Kentucky’s Lynn Bowden made an abundance of contributions for the Wildcats including as a returner, thrower, runner and receiver. That versatility to produce in a variety of ways increases his value at the next level for an offensive coordinator that wants to get creative with play calls. With that said, Bowden is underdeveloped to be relied upon for any singular role, making him a gadget player. Bowden should provide upside on special teams in addition to offering the element of surprise. His competitive toughness and the edge he plays with are appealing for the type of utilization he projects to have in the NFL.
Fearless is an excellent way to describe him.Bowden is a beast. He has no fear and can do a bit of everything.
coop will be a cap casually in 3 years and Gallup the #1 its the NFL its a never ending process paying, cutting, and paying the next guy at all positions..the drafts dont stop after this year LOL when we need a new starting WR in 3-4 years we go trade for one sign a FA. and or draft pone.. we need a speedy slot receiver this year and that can be had in round 2-3 most likely 3I don't want to spend infinite money on WR. I don't know how Gallup is supposed to be 3 years. Franchise tag? Sure, you could play that game with any contract. "We'll franchise him forever! Damn the cost!" And then you want to pump a #1 pick into our WR#2 too?
If Gallup plays like a WR#1, maybe we extend him, but then we dump Cooper.
Yeah, some teams put their money and picks into WRs. How many of those teams are winning SBs? Do those other teams also have the highest paid RB in the league? Also have 3 olinemen on big free agent money? Also soon to have a QB near the top in his salary?
Do you play on paying every starter on offense big money free agent deals?
Gotta go cheap on some guys. WR#2 is one of our few remaining options for that.
His vision and field awareness are also uncanny. Best vision I’ve seen since Tony Dorset.Fearless is an excellent way to describe him.

Like Bowden alot. I think he is a late day 2, early day 3 guy. I think Dallas should target him in the 4th even if they take a WR earlier. Leaving the draft with Pittman and Bowden would be kind of amazing.Keep an eye on..

I wonder if all these fans suggesting we must keep Gallup plan on paying free agent money to every position on offense, and never letting anyone go.
Yeah, Gallup is good. Think that will make him cheap in 2 years? Geezer Cobb just went for 9. Gallup is young and was 20th in yards this year. Do the math. You plan on paying 20 for Cooper *and* 15 for Gallup?
