That's why the Boys should do whatever it takes to get Roy Williams the WR on draft day.

They can then trade him for something good and write up the contract omitting middle initials.

random GM: "Umm, Jerry, Roy Williams the defensive back just showed up at our practice facility. What gives?"

Jerry Jones: "(making static noises) What, huh? Umm, sorry, I can't hear you...gotta run...good luck with Roy...thanks again..."

How'bout we offer Detroit our Roy Williams for theirs? :lmao2:

That's the equivalent of leaving a baby in a basket on someone's doorstep, ringing the doorbell and running off.

The "random gm" comes to the door, sees a note attached to Roy's chest that says, "Pro Bowl Safety, Enjoy!" and sees Jerry's "Bang Bus" racing away into the darkness.

RLW could fit in a Cover2, if, he were playing the MLB position. That position is more Safety then LB, IMO, anyway. Considering the issues that Chicago is having with Urlacher, it might make sense for them to consider something like that. The question would be, what would they do with him once BU is back in the fold? Unless, of course, they don't intend to bring Urlacher back.

That would be interesting!

That is exactly where is he being played here on passing downs. And where he can do some good. They are still passing at him even then.

Nope-that MLB still needs to see the entire field AND have good coverage skills.

Tampa's Derrick Brooks has a career number of INTs, Indy's Rob Morris plays well in coverage, and Urlacher is a ball hawk himself.

Can't say the same for Roy.

With his contract, no one would give us a draft pick for Roy Williams. Not even a 7th rounder.

Yeah they would.

Rob Morris? Did that really just happen? First of all, Rob Morris doesn't even play MLB for the Colts - hasn't for a few years. Secondly, he can not cover like Roy Williams. Geez folks, it's possible for Roy to not be a great cover saftey and still be a lot better than some of you guys think...Rob Morris!

As an aside, I very much doubt that Detroit would trade Roy to an inner-divisional rival. Wouldn't make much sense.
