Our WR deep threats?

Just where did I complain in my post? I said it didn't matter much if he wasn't top dog on very deep passes.

Aside from Brandon Smith's contested catches late in games ... i really didn't get to see much of a vertical game this preseason ...

- Opposing preseason teams got the deep go bomb on us .. per Wright and Bland, but did we get to see that artwork on our part ?

-and we haven't seen Simi Fehoko used or go deep - so it's unknown if he'll be that kind of vertical threat until Dak is in the game ...

- Turrpin ? ..
.Kellen would have to scheme him bunch formations and rub routes to spring him a free release
and head of steam momentum downfield and he's not gonna be a lengthy target

- i still think Gallup would normally be our best deep threat, but hes' still recovering from an ACL injury and who knows if it may take a full season to get anywhere near his full previous pre-ACL form..

If you didn't see the deep threat then you didn't see the practices with #4 throwing the ball and paid far too much attention to the preseason games where #4 was not throwing the ball. Change how you consume the preseason and you will see things differently.

Every wideout can be a deep threat. It’s not about just blazing past CBs because you have a faster 40 time. It’s good routes, double moves, selling the hitch and go, good run play fakes, and a heavy dose of solid 3-4 second pass protection.

And only few really are, usually the WRs with speed and quickness.

Secondary plays man or zone and speed is a zone buster.
