Over Hyped TC players? Tradable players?

Right - Hanna is tradeable. What sort of team trades for a guy who missed the entire year and still can't participate?

A far more likely scenario is Hanna not passing his TC physical and getting PUP'ed or cut outright.
Yea, I think the ideal situation is to stash away Hannah to the PUP and start the season with three TEs. He can be an insurance policy in case of an injury or if Rico falters.

really dont see a need for 2 slot receivers and his value will probably never be higher. If Switzer does impress in pre-season sitting him is also a waste. Why not have Switzer replace him and use Beasleys value for a need position. Who do u see with value that will get us anything?

Nothing wrong with this line of reasoning. But I'd like to see Beasley and Switzer on the field at the same time. I think it is a tremendous mismatch as both get separation. Both will require some sort of zone coverage underneath for most teams. Either one or both get open under/intermediate with Switzer able to go long or it opens up for Witten to slide under them or for the outside to get favorable coverage.

Dez, Williams, Switzer, Beasley, Witten and a RB will be difficult to match up.

I think this is make or break year for Hanna. He has been on the team for 4 years and has a total of 33 catches and 0 TD. Cowboys go into camp with 6 TE including Hanna, he has to go out and earn his keep.

Hanna will be on the field unless he really can't play. It appears he will be ready. We don't have another in line blocker as good. Swaim is next. Rico is a wild card right now and can't be depended on to block. Let's see a full TC from him before we depend on him for anything. I am excited about his potential though. I think he eventually makes it onto the field either as Witten's replacement. Until then he'll have to be a backup as any other TE would be. I think they should work to get Witten off the field a bit more but not until they have someone to push his pass catching ability.

I'm all in favor of him being on the team but he has to go out and earn it. There are some young kids on the team like Blake Jarwin from OSU who was a good blocker. I'm not against Hanna but after 4 years with the Cowboys he has done little.

Jaylon Smith.

We don't even know if the guy is near 100% (we all know injury updates are exaggerated), or if his knee will hold up. He could go full Miles Austin and miss 4-5 a season.

Don't get it twisted. I'm excited to see him FINALLY, but I'm not ready to say he's going to be this all-pro LB.

I pray the risk pays out, even though it'll make Jerry look like a genius. :D

Switzer can also play outside and had even lined up there since being drafted

If Switzer unseeds Lucky as both a Slot and return man then Switzer value to the team along with Beasley means a lot. Switzer will have to beat out Lucky Whitehead not Cole Beasley
Switzer has already beat out Lucky. He will beat out Beasley soon enough

In fan's minds he has unless you are one of the coaches Lucky is still a member of this team and going to camp to compete. As for Switzer beating out Beasley one day? maybe he does, believe me I want every player on this roster out there fighting for the snaps and if he proves himself as the best option then great. As I mentioned in the Pet Cat thread, unlike many here I start every camp with 80 pet cats and in the end I hope to have the best possible 53 best pet cats. I'm not anti any player I want them all to go out and succeed and make the coaches job of having to cut a player difficult.

I don't think Swaim is too far behind Hanna as an inline blocker, so I go with youth in this instance. And Hanna may be a better athlete, but I see Swaim contributing more on offense.

Over hyped? Heath.

Tradable? Maybe Morris if a team is devastated by injuries. Wouldn't get much for him.

Someone mentioned trading Beasley. No need. New England has proven you can spread out and attack defenses with multiple midgets.

No need to trade for a LB, just sign Daryl Washington sooner than later.

True, hopefully the team has been doing their due diligence on the Wilson Arrest and know the real story/chance of him being suspended, jail-time - sooo disappointing !
Feel like we have backup players but meh, would like to see someone bought in for all of training camp, be it Washington or whomever. Sooner rather than later .....

I never said lucky wasn't a member of the team. What I said is Switzer has already beat out lucky. Which is a true statement.

He will beat out Beasley before the end of the year and will be the 2nd most productive receiver behind Dez

Camp has not started so no one has beaten anyone out as of yet. It may be true in the end but as of now that is just an opinion.
As far as beating out Cole he may there is no way of telling. I like Switzer he has shown some promise in OTA but he has not played a single down of NFL football the other guys we have mentioned have. I hope the best for Switzer but he has to prove it and OTA is not proving it nor is what a person did in college. There is a big difference between organized practice and actually getting on the field in live action.
