Will it be over or Under 80 yards??? To be honest he may get that in the first half!!! Solid run, better than the was given credit for, it appears he isn't injured as he was often in his earlier years with us!!

Glad we got Williams I think they both go for big yards!! Please give your thoughts

I would tentatively take the over, but there are questions:
  • Is Chuba Hubbard ruled out this week?
  • Will Rico Dowdle be the lead back?
Dowdle had a great game versus Miami, but Hubbard was out due to injury. Hubbard was the lead back weeks one through four and owned a greater share (66% to 34%) of carries per game between them.

Given Dowdle's big day, Carolina would be smart to allow Hubbard rest for an additional week. Plus, Dowdle comes in motivated.

I am not as sure Hubbard gets 80 yards, even against Dallas' defense. However, I do think Hubbard starting cuts into Dowdle's opportunities to eclipse 80 yards on the ground. "Rushing and receiving yards?" Maybe.

But in an emotional aspect as you've seen several weeks with Micah, it's an emotional game, player is playing his former team, don't you think they'll give him the bulk of the carries or the chance to make him feel great so they can give him the game ball at the end of the game

Carolina averages 128 yards per game rushing and I suspect last week's game has a lot to do with that number. Their offense is not very good, although not as bad as the Jets. They average about 20 points per game and about 329 yards. They are about the same in passing yards as the Jets at about 201 yards per game. They rush on average for 128 yards per game. Their OL is ranked higher than the Jets over at ESPN where they are 15th - about average. The Cowboys OL is ranked 4th when healthy.

The Cowboys defense is awful and was awful against the run last week, although the Jets are 3rd in the league in rushing yards per game and yards per rush. Carolina averages 4.8 yards per carry too which is not bad at all.

I think it depends on the Cowboys offense. If they score a lot early, the Panthers will not run as much. If the Panthers get the lead and the Cowboys offense struggles I can see them running for 150 yards or more. Based on what I saw from the Jets last week, I do not believe the Cowboys have fixed their run defense yet.

Coogs to me the bigger question is, “How many yards rushing will the Panthers have as a team?”

I'm excited to see what the Cowboys defense looks like this week. Against the Jets they sold out more on generating pressure on the QB than they prioritized stopping the run which is a 180 over the first few games. Not saying they have 5 all pros on their OL, but Carolina is getting very good production out of their front 5 so far this year, and have two pretty good tackles that might be able to handle our ends 1V1. McMillan is young but a bit of a matchup nightmare for our secondary, and obviously Carolina has some backs capable of putting up good numbers. Will Eberflus put extra pressure on a struggling young QB, or focusing on taking away the run game and making them beat you through the air? Personally I would rather them dial up a few extra blitzes at the risk of giving up a few chunk gains on the ground.

If he's the starter and Chubbard is out, I'd say 90+ all purpose

Good point, someone mentioned that Hubbard is there, forgot about him, was only thinking about Rico since we had him last season
