Aikman officiating apology over/under - 2.5 for the Packers game.

This number is strictly for Troy "disagreeing" with close officiating calls that benefit the Boys.

The over/under does not include Aikman ignoring non-calls that would have benefitted Dallas or alerting viewers to non-calls that would have helped the Packers.

BTW, I'm a huge Troy fan and love what he did for, and what he meant to the Cowboys. When broadcasting Cowboys games, however, his pursuit of impartiality can sometimes lead to unnecessary overcompensation.

So, who's got the over and who's taking the under?

For what it's worth, I live in the heart of Packer country and most Packer fans don't like Aikman because they feel he is anti Packer.

You all have crazy grudges with the media but this one is real. Troy totally is aware he was a Cowboys legend when talking about Cowboys games. However it still feels like the broadcast as a whole kind of champions the Cowboys and enjoys their success(buck gets plenty excited when we score)

I'm just afraid tha Gazoo Mike Pereira will taint Blandino with his rant after another close call that benefits the Cowboys. I'm furious about Gazoo's role in swaying the Dez decision. They need to get these former refs off of TV.

I'll take the over. Contrary to popular belief, Troy loves his Cowboys. He's just out there doing his job trying mightily to keep it down the middle.

Aikman has earned the right to say anything he wants about the Cowboys, as long as he does it in a respectful manner (which he always does).

He earned it with three Super Bowls and a lifetime of back and head trauma.

I love Aikman.

But... he does this way too much...

Exhibit A:
On Cowboys benefitting from opposing team penalty: "I don't know, I just didn't see a penalty there"

Exhibit B:

On Cowboys not being called for a penalty: "I gotta tell ya Joe, To me that was clearly a penalty. I don't know why it wasn't called? Cowboys got away with one there"

Probably more because of this!;)

http://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=3131937

Dallas 27, Green Bay 17 (1993 NFC divisional playoffs): Aikman was intercepted twice, but he also threw for 302 yards and three touchdowns as Dallas opened up a 17-3 halftime lead and never looked back. Packers QB Brett Favre threw for a pair of scores but was picked off twice, part of four Green Bay turnovers.

Dallas 42, Green Bay 31 (Nov. 24, 1994): The Cowboys were two-time defending Super Bowl champions but didn't have Aikman for this Thanksgiving Day tilt. Enter backup QB Jason Garrett (the current Cowboys offensive coordinator), who would throw for 311 yards and two scores. Packers wide receiver Sterling Sharpe caught four touchdown passes in a losing effort.

Dallas 35, Green Bay 9 (1994 NFC divisional playoffs): The Cowboys scored early and often as Barry Switzer's club opened up a 28-9 halftime lead. Emmitt Smith and Blair Thomas anchored the running game and Aikman threw for a pair of scores, including a 94-yarder to Alvin Harper.

Dallas 38, Green Bay 27 (1995 NFC Championship Game):
Before the Cowboys could win their third Super Bowl in four years, they had to get by a very stubborn Packers team that was a year away from winning it all. It was a big day for the triplets as Smith ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns and Aikman threw for 255 yards and a pair of scores -- both to wide receiver Michael Irvin, who caught seven passes for 100 yards.

Dallas 21, Green Bay 6 (Nov. 18, 1996): Including playoffs, the Packers were riding a seven-game losing streak to the Cowboys, including a trio of postseason defeats. Although Mike Holmgren's club was on its way to winning it all, it suffered another setback in Irving. Cowboys place-kicker Chris Boniol tied the then-NFL record by kicking seven field goals, accounting for all of Dallas' points in a win over the eventual Super Bowl XXXI champions.

OVER. He mustn't appear like a homer, so he will instead look like a hater. I love Irvin and how he makes no bones about it and always goes straight homer lol.

Sure he has, but its still irritating. Nobody here has trouble appreciating what he did on the field but that doesnt mean he isn't annoying to listen to when calling a Cowboys game.

LOL at the butthurtedness some of you have over announcers and color analysts.

Who cares?

When we are in the middle of a game and its an all out dog fight it takes very little to set us off lol. This is an anticipatory gripe. If we are up 3 tds he can tap dance on Jerrys face and I wont notice.

I never really got the whole complaining about the announcers thing. I rarely remember what they say anyway to the point that it infuriates me.

I find it so damn grating when Cowboys fans call Troy a Cowboy hater. You're dead on, Bleu. :)

I hate to say it, but Aikman and Joe are the only commentator duo I can't stand. You'd think in 2016 there'd be a way to mute just the commentary.
Get a nice surround sound system. Turn up the surround to max. Turn up the bass. Turn the front speakers balance to low and turn it all up to the point where your wife gets just a little angry.

You won't hear those two.
