Over/Under for Aikman apologies vs Pack

LOL at the butthurtedness some of you have over announcers and color analysts.

Who cares?

I personally enjoy listening to Phil Simms go on and on and make a fool of himself. It's in game comic relief. Love the guy lol

The other day he thought the word "egregious" used by Nantz was a big boy word. I laughed out loud :)

My wife is no Cowboys fan and she has pointed it out. Asking me why he doesn't like them.

It's been explained many times, Car. He's just being objective.

I do, oh so badly, want Irvin in the booth. Just for a game. Dude would be jumping all over the place lol

Sure he has, but its still irritating. Nobody here has trouble appreciating what he did on the field but that doesnt mean he isn't annoying to listen to when calling a Cowboys game.

I have a feeling most do not find him annoying at all .... he was gushing over Dak and Zeke a few games ago.

Get a nice surround sound system. Turn up the surround to max. Turn up the bass. Turn the front speakers balance to low and turn it all up to the point where your wife gets just a little angry.

You won't hear those two.
Eh, that's too much work. I want a commentator mute button on the remote.

I never really got the whole complaining about the announcers thing. I rarely remember what they say anyway to the point that it infuriates me.

For me its kind of like having a bad day and then stepping in dog crap. The bad day(playing poorly) is enough but the dog crap (biased commentators) is the last straw. But like I said when we are winning I hardly notice it. Obviously weve lost way too much for too long.

If people just listened and didn't know who he was, they would think the same thing.
And he heaps more praise on the Giants in one game than he does on Dallas in 5 seasons.

It's worked for him.
There's no denying that he bends over backwards not to praise Dallas, and does the opposite for other NFC East teams.

Troy is also someone that holds grudges--even from things 10-20 years ago. Seems beneath him, but for whatever reason, he has a long memory on slights.
lol...just one example was his public dismantling of Bayless. That's funny, but...wow.
So it wouldn't surprise me if he and Jerry had some sort of falling out that he hasn't fully forgiven.

He'll praise individual Cowboy players, but that's very different.

I'm fine with both Troy and Buck. But at least with Troy, the pattern is obvious.

And that, Rise, is why fans have this weird hatred for announcers. It's because we've sucked for so long (not this year obviously, and 2014) that they're simply reporting the plays that have failed so often.

Ergo, the announcers suck.

I don't even hate Buck. But his comments on Moss were absolutely distasteful and he does take himself way too damned seriously. But whatevs, when we have Buck, it means we have Troy, so at least we're half rewarded (for those that enjoy Troy).

He's praised the hell out of us many, many times during games, JC

The players sometimes. Not so much the overall team and especially not the organization.

I'm fine with him anyway. He's damn good at his job. And well, he is a Cowboy legend.

The team overall, too. The org, I tend to agree with. He even said on Joe Buck's show that he wants to GM at some point but would never do it for Jerry (well, he alluded to it).

Would you be complementing of this org prior to this year? Also, realize, he firmly believes Jerry ruined the team chemistry by firing Jimmy.

Sad that some people need that to "tolerate" a 3 time winning Superbowl legend of your team.

Ha?
Winning Superbowls doesn't make one great at commentary. You can have respect for him as a player and not like him on the mic.

As a Cowboys homer myself, I cannot imagine trying to call a game of the Cowboys against anybody. I would sound more like MIchael Irvin I am sure. To do what Aikman does without appearing to show favoritism to the Cowboys is a job well done. He does a better job than fans like Al Michaels (NYG) and Joe Buck ( Maybe SF because he seemed awful gidding when they did something well that game)

We all want nothing more than to listen to a totally biased game where the Cowboys are complemented throughout and we get constant confirmation about how the refs are screwing us and the other team is a bunch of scum bags. Is that too much to ask for?

That's why I want Irvin in the booth, darnit :D

Like for the first half your paragraph, but you lost me when you derided Al. He's one of the very best in the biz, along with Nantz

That is fine ........ I reserve my dislike for his partner ....... I think certain people hear the crap Joe Buck spews and relate that to Aikman.
