Over

Jerry made it clear that the offense goes through Zeke…..so, he will be force fed week 1, for better or worse. I do think he will have a decent game, fresh legs and all.

What do you think the plan will be? I can’t see Dak dropping back 40 times against Tampa’s defense. He might not make it out of game one alive.

Its got a be a short passing game. Sprinkle in the run to keep them honest, but its gotta be the edges. They are too stout up the middle.

Their run defense is their strength and their pass defense is a weakness. No different then last year. Only problem is our Oline holding up in pass protection. So it probably has to be a quick passing attack.

Going to need some roll outs and take your shots deep when you can. I would expect a lot of 12 personnel. Shultz will probably be the main weapon in the pass game. Move Lamb around, lots of crossing routes, WR screens.

I forgot that is what we did last year. It worked perfectly and it was out of 12 personnel. The question is who will be Cooper this game?

Not really into the whole Cooper is missing thing. Shultz and Lamb have to be the main weapons. I would get Ferguson in there too. Pollard certainly can be a great weapon, but have little faith they will use him.

Bucs are going to come out trying to run the ball with Fournette. If we cant stop that, its curtains. I think we will.

If Godwin remains out, that is huge. But then they will roll out Julion Jones.

Under. The Bucs have the best rushing defense in the league. We shouldn't be pounding it up the middle against them (despite what Garrett said the other day). And Pollard should be on the field more.

With as good as Tampa's run defense has been anything over 50 should be considered a win. But Zeke doesn't call the plays. He can't call his own number nor hand himself the ball and since I don't expect him to get much more than 10-12 carries so I don't expect more than about 40 yards rushing for Zeke.

The game will be close no doubt. Look forward to it. Our defense will be fine. No AB or Gronk. I think those two are bigger loses the Coop/the receiver that went to Miami.

My chips on KMoore being confused with his game plan, almost immediately.

Over. 138 yards 2 td's. Zeke said he is ready this year to try to go far into the playoffs.

Not about effort. its about effectiveness.

And this thread is not about how many yards Elliott will run for. It's just another attempt by you to bash him. But I went along with the premise anyway.

Elliott's "effectiveness" last season dropped because he got hurt. If you look at his play before his injury, he was highly effective. The Tampa Bay game was the one exception, and that's because we didn't make a concerted effort to run. We chose not to.

No, you didn't, but you've responded to multiple opinions by berating Elliott. It's what you do and the reason I almost didn't respond to this thread. That schtick is as tired as Risen's about Dak, but at least he tries to be humorous with it.

I have a tendency to try to respond with reasonable replies, but sometimes it's best to just walk away. Should have stuck with that and just left this thread alone, although I will give you credit for reasonable posts in this thread when you don't mention Zeke. I agree that Tampa's defense is very tough to run on (of course, that's not really debatable) and we've got to be smart about how and when we do it. We can't just try to ram the ball up the middle. However, I don't believe we'll use the same game plan as last year where we essentially didn't try to run on them. I think we'll use a lot of two-tight end and run a lot of fake and real jet sweeps maybe some bubble screens to try to stretch them so that we can punch them between the tackles some.

Problem is your hero never shuts me up. And you zeke apologists keep tooting his horn. So as long as you continue to make zeke out as some superstar, I’ll continue to correct you.

Hard to say. We don't know how much Pollard will be involved in the running game.

I think Zeke will average 70 yards a game this season if he stays healthy.
