So for end of rainbow..but the box is interesting as is the offensive line, here and now.

I like connecting the defensive line with the secondary...dominating straight up the center of the field.
Absolutely a strong defense starts in the middle, I forgot to put a draft pick with Mazi also. I'd like 2 NT types drafted so the LBs can fly to the ball. I'm kinda ok with Juanyeh n Bell as the Ss, but definitely need some insurance if they can't handle it.

Micah has 25lbs on Overshown.

Micah can push linemen, but what Overshown lacks in weight, he makes up for in speed.

It's fascinating to watch him develop. Early on I thought he was more of a side-to-side guy that could play the run mostly

but he's definitely adding to his skill set. Looking like a great pick

Man he might look good in a 3-4 with more pass rushing…..same way Micah did when he first got here, each coming off opposite ends. Overshown is explosive and plays with his hair on fire…..baller.
Yea until teams find out you can get him on an island and run at him (like Micah). Leave Overshown behind the bigger bodies, allow him to seek and destroy, rush only in obvious pass situations.

Look forward to the Cowboys getting some effective big bodied DTs to take up space so Overshown can fly to the ball next season even better. Good news is it's going to be fun watching DeMo finish out this season with the confidence he's gained.
What have Stephen and Jerry shown you this past decade to make you believe they'll actually get DTs...you'll get mazi smith and a 40 year old dt on his last legs

DE - Golston
NT - Mazi
DE - Kneeland/Draft Pick
ROLB - Parsons
WILB - Overshown
MLB - Liufau/Draft Pick/ FA
LOLB - Williams
Yup, was thinking something similar lol….just need to really beef up the DL. If we played Asim Richard’s at LT and he turned out to be good, we could spend a higher draft pick on DL, like that tackle from Michigan…..MUCH better prospect than Mazi. Man, I wish we could really try out different OL combos to see what we have….to see what we can draft.

I’m saying as a 3-4 backer who also rushes, he would be good, already shown he can rush with speed…..would be a weapon. not saying put him on the line or anything…..but linebackers with his rush ability can thrive in a 3-4 where they can get the linemen holding up blocks and the 4 LB can move around and blitz from different spots. Like an old 95 Steelers or 96 panthers 3-4. I think he would fit there. Or leave him at 4-3 backer, but utilize him more in blitzes.

How long are YOU going to pay that aging linebacker and not put a needed to be developed middle linebacker learning when outside runs only have a single speedy linebacker. Only having a defensive end that moves some around the job of linebacker. How many tackles you going to raise up now?

Your first question then is receiver and running back...really at the top? A Jerry draft, really?
It’s easier to get a LB later. In fact LB success rate is very high all the way to 3rd RNd. I wanted a LT but commanders win eliminated that option and WR is a need. You can’t have one and nothing else. I’m not crazy about a RB in first but it very well could be best player when we pick

I was saying in another thread that I think Overshown is a damn good football player. Dude has a very bright future, and if he could develop some unique moves he could be a real nasty blitzing LB with his speed. I really hope he continues to get better. He’s everything I had hope for in Devonte Hollaman before he was injured.

Damone Clark-LB

Marist Liufau-LB
6-223923R

The linebackers group looks strong now, with Parsons, and Overshown.

Chauncey Golston-DE
6-5268264

Marshawn Kneeland-DE
6-326823R

DeMarcus Lawrence-DE
6-32653211

Sam Williams-DE
6-4261253

The defensive ends already are looking pretty strong for next season.

Osa Odighizuwa-DT
6-2280264

Mazi Smith-DT
6-3337232

This is the weakest positional group...

In Weeks 10 through 12, Smith had a 55 or higher overall defensive grade in all three games, two of them over 60.

His run defense grades have all been over 60, with two of those over 70.

His average overall grade was 62.9, and his run defense average was 70.5. That 70.5-run defense grade would put him in the top 15 in the league this year.

Cowboys former 1st-round pick finally showing a pulse after much maligned beginning
