Perhaps the greatest Cornerback of all times...Deion Sanders... when every team stopped throwing towards him...except Dallas... Mike hung a 100 on him time and time again...

Could Owens have done that I doubt it...

Eric Allen, Gill Byrd, Ronnie Lott in there prime could not stop Irvin..

Could Owens have done that I doubt it...

there was a time between 91 -95 no one stopped Irvin...

Has Owens ever done that nope...

Perhaps some of you should check what Owens has done against the skins since he has been in the NFC East...

***random thoughts***

my goodness why must you children always put down a great Cowboy to prop up the next best thing...

something you might not understand

Terrell played WCO which lends itself for RAC...receptions and eventually TD's...

so you people with a silly idea of fantasy football better forget it...its not gonna happen on a ball controlled Offense and that is what Irvin was in... we will get to see how Terrell does this year...

until then compare terrel to Rice who also ran a WCO or Sterling Sharpe or any other wco WR's...

imho Irvin was so much greater than terrell you would have to use lightyears as the measurement

Alvin Harper was also a serious threat at #2 for a number of the years Irvin put up big numbers.
U really must be Joking. Harper benefitted from Irvin, anyone on the opposite side of irvin benefitted, Harper tried to be a #1 and failed the very next season after he left Dallas........

But you still do not trash teammates to the media.

I am certainly not defending Owens for what I believe to be a terrible error in judgement, but if you consider his first (at least the first that I know of) shot at McNabb, I think Owens's comment was very understandable.

The first comment, when Owens said that he was not the one who was tired at the end of the Superbowl, came after Owens was asked in an interview what he thought of his critics who said that the Eagles were able to get to the Superbowl without Owens and that maybe he really wasn't a big difference maker for the team.

Put that in the context of Owens's hurried rehabilitation, risking his career by playing, and disappointment/anger over the Eagles FO's refusal to renegotiate his contract, and it is easy to understand why this man of huge ego would lash out. In light of McNabb's physical breakdown in the Superbowl and the fact that he is perhaps the only player that has ever been treated generously by the Eagles FO, it is clear why McNabb was the target of TO's frustrations.

The bright side is that if TO's actions are explainable, it may be controllable.

This post made entirely too much sense.

Hence it will be ignored.:)

As for the situation about TO being injured it started when teammates were being asked how they felt they could do without TO and of course comments like injuries are part of the game and they were confident they could overcome this seem to get TO upset to start with and that I never could understand what was the team suppose to say we are lost without him? Lastly had this situation with McNabb been a 1st time deal I might be more understanding but it wasn't he lashed out at Garcia as well. In the end this is not a matter of he was right or wrong in his feeling you just don't air dirty laundry to the press you deal with it behind closed doors. I was always taught what goes on behind the locker room doors say behind those doors, you have a problem you deal with it from within not outside.

Irvin played lot more physical than owens.[/quote]

I dunno about a lot more physical, owens doesnt like aligator arm the ball n doesnt shy from contact. I do think however irvin had more of a mean streak rather than owen's
