Waffle, my best guess is that the pansy rolls over and decides to play afterall. And I hope he does. I don't want any piss poor excuses from the E-GIRLS this year when the Cowboys at least split the series.
I think you're exactly right Fletch.

T.O doesn't seem to be holding any cards in this ordeal and his ego is too big for him not to play. The guy is a real joke. He's already disgraced his QB with low-blow comments... disgraced his team by saying, "I don't have to play for the Eagles.", and disgraced the entire game when he said, "I don't even like football, anyways." last year before a Monday Night game.

I have to credit Green Bay, Philly, and the like for not giving in to these jackasses and their holdout threats. I DO NOT want to see the NFL become the MLB or the NBA where the players clearly dictate everything and the coaches, etc. have no power whatsoever. Where money comes first in every instance.

This is why there needs to be more BPs in the league. Someone has to have the balls and the authority to punish these jerks and show them that NO ONE is bigger than the team and furthermore, the game itself.

Unbelievable.

Well its about time Atlanta gets Mike Vick some "weapons". I mean spending the last three first round picks on WRs isn't enough. You have to do more. At least thats what sportswriters tell me.

I rarely wish injury on players, but honestly wish this puke would hold out all of camp, report late and then have his knee destroyed at Texas Stadium...on the other hand if that happened Tagliabastid would probably force us to forfeit the game

he's a total loser...glad he is pulling his crap with the Eagles...couldnt be happier for them

No, that Star incident does not pass. That is unforgivable as a Cowboys fan. He didn't only disrespect the team, he disrespected the NFL. You don't mock your fellow players in such a manner. I could honestly give a **** if he wants to play here. Jerry Jones wouldn't have such malicious demeanor on his team. Parcells won't tolerate it and I'm sure his teammates won't allow him to throw Bledsoe or anyone else under the bus when he fails along with the rest of the team.

Owens will not be a Cowboy and if through some luck of the draw he does, Jones will fine him heavily for any stunt unbecoming of a Cowboy.
Obviously, you just jumped into a conversation without reading each post. I didn't say he wanted to play here. I simply said that he is a BP player with his aggresive style. Also, I said I wouldn't give a shyt if he came here either. Play makers are play makers. Your opinion of disrespecting the the fellow player is you opinion. Its no different than Irvin giving the first down sign after each one of his catches. Irvin even stated that that was his ploy to demoralize DBs. He went on to say, he didn't give a damn if it was disrespectful, politically incorrect, or anything. He knew if it got under their skin and took them out of their game. He was going to do it. You tell me whats the difference. Or how about soliciting prostitution and drugs? Is that not disrespecting the NFL. Last I checked, the Cowboys had plenty of players on that list and it didn't stop one of you from cheering that player on.

I'll say again, this TO situation has nothing to do with anything except for the star inncident.

At least your honest enough to admit it. Most act like this guy is a serial killer. Irvin subject himself to league suspention with his drug use . That is the ultimate disrespect to the NFL, not to mention your teammates. Some people act like they never hated Key befroe he got here, but they cheer their *** off for him now. Just be real with yourself is all I ask. You are at least!

Irvin had his off field issues but was 110% committed to winning and "team"...Owens is a punk loser who cares nothing about "team" or "winning"

I'd take Irvin 8 days a week over Owens

I guess you hate Emmitt for holding to then, right? Or is it different because he played for the Cowboys?

Your right, he (Irvin) cared enough about his team that he went out and sniffed coke during the season and participated in orgies in the "White House", knowing it could cause a suspention. Forgot to mention how TO runs the full length of the field during run plays to help Hearst complete a 90 yard TD run. Or how he did the same for Westbrook last year. Nope, he isn't a team player, just a baller that expresses his opinion. Don't mistake your blind loyalty for the Cowboys with honesty. Irvin was just a selfish as TO. Even to the point where he decided to line up in his teammates position, because he thought thats where the ball was going to be thrown. Nice to know Aikman went to the other side and Harper scatted about 80 yards down the field. Nice teammate Irvin! If that ain't selfish, I don't know what is. You'll probably say it just competitvemess, because he played for the Cowboys though!

From what I can tell TO was ASKED about atlanta and said they could be on a list.

I did not see him say he wanted to be traded to atlanta.

Personally I hope he remains bullheaded and that Philly does not trade him but just fines him for every camp, practice and game he does not play.

The guy has criticized his team and team mates in San Fran and now in Philly....he is too stupid just to keep his mouth shut.

I would just love to see him not playing yet having to pay back money...see how that sits with his "Family".

you know Irvin never failed a drug test right? I'm not naive enough to say that means he never did drugs, but he never failed a test...

Irvin didnt squawk about his contract after he just signed it, or make an *** out of himself over it in public...Irvin didnt cry and whine and have the league intervene to negate a legit trade to one team so he could go elsewhere...Irvin played over half a season and the playoffs in 1994 with a torn quad muscle....Irvin was one of the best run blocking WR's of his time, and never complained about it...Irvin might have annoyed some with his "first down" display, but he never pulled anything like the loser antics Owens has done on the field...Irvin also never publicly put down teammates, something Owens does with regularity

in my book Irvin is a winner...Owens is a loser...it isnt homering, its just my view...

I think Owens is a GREAT WR...
If he is traded or holds out, its a plus for Cowboys fans everywhere...

And he was right about McChunky soup...Puking in the Super bowl & being over weight...

Never said he failed a drug test, but he did admit to doing drugs in later interviews as well as sleeping with other women on his wife. Your right he didn't sqwuak about a contract, Emmitt did. This is not a TO iRvin thing. Its more of a "you'll give a Cowboy a break for doing the same type of thing, because he wore the star and slam TO for IT thing". Irvin plays hurt, thats great, but did you forget TO played on a broken leg in the SB and was damn near the best player that day on the Eagles roster? Don't even sit here and say that TO doesn't sacrifice his body in the run game, because he drug several Cowboys DBs around the field last year for Westbrook. As for Irvin antics, i'll agree TOs display was over the top, but disrespect is disrespect. Neither one is right in my book. Although some are ready to let Irvin slide because it helped us win. I just believe that those same antics would make Dallas a better team, if it were to happen. Althoug I ve gone on record to saying I don't think it would happen.

I live right outside of Philly and I'm telling you guys the Eagles will not cave in on this, they have a certain way of doing things like not resigning players over 30 when they feel they start the downside of their career. T.O. is running the risk of having the Wonderful Eagle fans turning on him, and trust me, it will get ugly fast!. Either T.O. comes in before the first game or he's going to sit. From what I read in the Papers here, T.O. is basically on a 1 year contract here, because the way his contract is structured, so the thinking here is that Andy Reid is happy with who he has at WR and they'll just move forward a year early. :trophy: :disseags: :suxiggle:

The original intent of the thread was NOT to compare players......T.O. is what he is and that's it. There's no question that he MIGHT be able to help the Cowboys or any other team win... It's the freakin' baggage he brings with him. That's what you need to understand. And I agree Irvin and some of the others that you want to constantly bring up had baggage...... the fact is there's none of that crap on the team right now....NO not even MeShawn (at least we are not hearing about it)........and we don't need it!

And for the record I'm not a huge fan of Keyshawn.......

Gay?? what does that have to do with anything??
