P90x

The P90X Yoga CD is no joke. It is hard as hell.

Long as he** as well. I'm in the camp of folks that couldn't do the time commitment for P90X, but the workouts were great. I now split up my weight training in the morning (after getting the kids to school and before work) and my cardio in the evening (after the kids go to bed).

Am I the only one that wants to punch Tony in the face after the work out?

Nope. Ive wanted to punch him many times. Then I realise that even though he's now 50 years old he'd kick my ***. lol

Sweet mother of Moses. That's an insane workout. I felt like I was going to vomit for the last 10 minutes or so of just the damn fitness test. I can only imagine the hell that is coming my way tomorrow.

Even just the warmup to start the fitness test had me panting. That's sad. :(

Yep. The 'warmup' part of the daily workouts will absolutely kick your butt, everytime, for a couple of weeks.

It lives up to its name and then some, easily.

My best friend and I started the program together and we used to make fun of Tony all the time. He's ridiculously corny. We used to just laugh at the dumb stuff he says.

But, dude's almost 50 and in ridiculous shape. So I guess he can say all the stupid crap he wants.

He is 50 now, might even be 51 now, cause he was like 45 or 46 when he recorded those DVDs and that was about 5 years ago.

I heard it's the meal plan that helps alot. I do lots of bootcamps for cardio and lift often to put on more size. Its all about eating right, which I can't do. I love to eat.

Two days of 'Insanity' down and I hurt. Legs, arms, back muscles, etc. It all hurts.

I'm still doing 'Insanity' everyday. It's still insane. I do feel a little better after yesterday's workout than I did after the previous ones. This particular workout was more resistance stuff like pushups and jumps. So, it was slightly slower and I could keep up a bit more.

However, I still stayed sprawled out on the floor for a fair amount of time gasping for air. :D Today is the cardio recovery and the word recovery sounds really nice.

Its a little easier on the recovery day. But you're still going to work. :) Congrats on sticking with it so far.

Did you make it through all 90 days? How did it turn out?
I am 1 week into P90X, and I have a love/hate relationship with it... I hate it while I am doing the workout, but I love it when I am done.

Keep us updated man, we have similar body types and I have been debating doing this workout. Your results may help me one way or another.

Just started my 2nd 90 days. I didn't take pics the first time around, but did see results. lost like 5 lbs but saw definite results in my arms and gut.

I'll post my completed pictures a couple months from now when I finish the 2nd 90 days.

Are you going to do the Original P90X again, or the "Doubles" workout?

Doubles.

I usually ran 3-4 miles at the park 5 days a week anyway. Probably will try and do the same now but since it's winter I'll just do Cardio X and some treadmill.

I had to take a two week break from Insanity. Pulled a muscle in my forearm doing the weight training workout. Amazing what you can't do with that insignificant injury.

It's OK. We still think you are insane. ;)

Definitely gotta no your limits with these types of workouts. I've found that lighter weight and a couple extra reps make it easier to get the burn without straining on a heavier weight.

I tried to be a hero when I first started p90x and hurt my right bicep. I had to take a week off and completely start the program over again. I was only like 6 days in, but it still sucked.

You know, I hurt it when my hand slipped from sweat and double clutched a 20# weight. That's what did it of all things. I'm going to wait until Wednesday before testing it again. It seems to be getting better by the day, but I'm hating the fact that I'm not getting jack crap done in the mean time.

P90X works pretty well.

I think the only thing that made it hard for me to keep going is the repetitiveness of the videos. It would be cool if they started up P90X studios or something in major cities so you could meet with a coach and the conversation would be different every day.

I can only hear Tony say "go online...bloopdedoopeedoopeebloopeedoop! -lipsmack- and it's all there" so many times before I want to punt his face.

Their are many Tonyisms that crack me up their so bad.

1) His stupid pterodactyl joke. We got it on the first video, no need to make us see it everyday we do the arm circles.

2) His 'AB RIPPER X' he says towards the end of that work out.

3) “Hamburger bad, fries bad, coca-cola bad….There I said it. Drink your water people!"

4) "Posing for Downward Dog Magazine."

There is a P90X One on One program where you get new discs every month... http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x-one-on-one-workout.do?tnt=ONO_A2
It is part of the development of an upcoming new P90X program called P90X MC2.
