Green Bay Packers

Look for the Green Bay Packers to return to the NFC playoffs for the first time since 2004. Under second-year head coach Mike McCarthy, the Packers are coming off a four-game winning streak to end the 2006 season. Brett Favre has returned to lead an offense that has a solid line and Pro Bowl receiver Donald Driver.

The Packers' defense made big improvement over the second half of last season, and GM Ted Thompson bolstered the line by selecting DT Justin Harrell with the team's top pick in the recent NFL draft.

Dallas is the team that will not return to the NFC playoffs. The Cowboys will have to adapt to new coach Wade Phillips'

It's always about the Dallas Cowboys! I have never seen so much ***** envy among a sports team...

The eagles, Redstinks, ***** Packers...hell...all 31 other teams!

They wish they were "America's Team"...and they are not! What was it?

"Embrace the Hate"?

I seem to remember the Commanders coming off of a similar late season surge at the end of the '05 season and look how their '06 season ended. Late season surges don't mean anything.

I agree, just like the Romo thing won't mean anything.

Looking at recent trends, it's realistic to assume that about half of the 12 teams that made the playoffs last year will not return. He's not making up the adjustment factor. There are alot of trends working against us this year.

But I think, just interms of GB (an up and comer), I like our chances better than theirs. We've got the better QB.

Last years playoff team that won't be in the 2007 playoff again this year is your New York Giants.

The Peckers, I mean Packers, will be sitting at home eating cheese during the playoffs.

Playoffs! Playoffs! Your talking playoffs? Playoffs?

Dallas will drill that interception master Farve. That big crown on the field at Texas Stadium is still there.

Don't sing it, bring it! :packers:

Likely.

There's also the Chiefs, Chargers, Seahawks, Jets - teams that might be questionable to return. I don't think you can count out Philly or the Cowboys, either.

So I guess only the Packers get better under a new head coach and everyone else gets worse?

Is that the point?

Let's ask the Jets?

Or maybe the Saints?

Nope.

They improved under then 'new' coach McCarthy last year.

As did both the Saints and Jets.

I guess you enjoy being wrong, you're so good at it.

Keep up the 'good' work!
