We are 8-1 as well as the Packers. If we see them on the playoffs, we will match up well with them. I know it's still early in the season, but assuming no major injuries on key players on both team, we will be in the playoffs and might see Favre and the cheeseheads.

We will see them in about 3 weeks.

Now's the time for every Comcast and Time-Warner customer to switch to a provider that carries the NFL channel. If they thought they were going to lose 20,000 subscribers in a single week over the NFL Channel issue they would provide it in a heartbeat. I realize some people don't have another option but the vast majority do. I would at least call and threaten to switch.

But that's just me.

I have Comcast here in Houston and they offers the NFL Network.

I wasn't aware of that. Do they offer it everywhere or just in select cities?

I have Comcast here in Denver and they have the NFL network. You just have to pay for it as part of the sports package. I waste more then $6 a month on stuff worse then the NFL network.

I don't know. I was surprised when you mentioned Comcast. Here in Houston Comcast took over Time Warner and when they did they offered the sports package that included the NFL Network so of course I paid the extra 6 bucks and picked it up.

$6 for one channel (I know there are other channels in the pakage, but most just want NFL) is crazy. That price has already gone up since its launch this summer. as long as people pay, they will continue to charge extra.

6 bucks for something like 8 channels NFL Network included. However 1 is soccer and I could careless about it. There are a couple of different FOX channels which I can get some different college football games.

I was probably wrong about Comcast. For some reason I was under the impression they didn't provide it at all. But as a friend of mine is fond of saying "whatever I don't know I just make up.":lmao:

I agree about paying extra. Life is full of choices and, while you'd rather not have to pay extra, it's certainly cheaper that some other things people waste money on.

Re-read what I said. Did you already have this pakage before the NFL network?

Comcast cant offer everyone every channel they want. They have to either drop a channel, add NFL for everyone or add it to an extended package. For $6 you get the speed channel, some fox sports network channels (which I enjoy for viewing non regional college games) and a few others. Its not a bad deal if you watch a lot of sports.

I did have the package before the NFL Network, but only because my roommate wanted the speed channel.

No I did not have these other channels prior to getting the sport package. I had the local fox SW but with the sports channel I get some other FOX outlets as well as the speed channel which I never had before.

Anyone in Houston should try to get AT&T U-verse. It's much better than Comcast. More channels. More HD channels. Faster internet. Better customer service. Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Cheaper?

Per channel, yes. I'm paying the same price and get many more channels. Plus, sense it's new, they're giving all sorts of great deals. I have every movie channel available (literally every movie channel) for free for a year.

The On-Demand is also ten times better. It offers more movies and more on-demand channels.
