I still hate TO and if he left the team I would not cry but it is not the same dislike I have for Pacman. I mean come on TO was never had the off the field issues. Two very different dislikes and one is at least tolerable.

Yes I still hate TO and no I do not cheer for him when he scores a TD and no I will not cheer for pacman when he does a big play. I will treat them like I did nine toes I will count the days until they are gone and then celebrate when they get cut.

Well, I hope there are a lot of instances where you don't get to cheer this season, like TO and Pacman crossing the goal line on several occassions. While jumping up and down celebrating, I will think of good ole Kangaroo and how his silence must be deafening.:laugh1:

This is GREAT news!

Guys a 4th is a fair deal and worth the risk. He's a return man and as the Titans say the 6th pick in the draft of ...2004?

Pac-man is where he wants to be and is up against the wall.

HE is our Third CB and a return man. It really opens things up in the draft for us.

I was saying a 3rd (late) rounder would be fair which is what the Titans asked.
IF the top CBs are gone:
#22 - Kenny Phillips / Chris Williams
#28 - James Hardy /
#61 - Jamaal Charles

Not only do they(the Titans) not get to keep that 4th rounder(this would be the 4th rounder the Cowboys just gave the titans) But the Titans have to give the Cowboys their 4th next year?

You people are telling me I need to learn to read?

How will the Titans not get to keep the 4th rounder from Dallas this year?

He just wasn't clear in his response.

The Titans will keep the 4th from Dallas this year regardless.

If the league doesn't reinstate Pacman this year, the Titans will have to give Dallas their 4th in 2009.

However, if he is eligible for this year and reaches some small particulars, the Titans will also obtain Dallas' 6th rounder next year. This is the most likely scenario since I can't see the commish continuing to suspend Pacman any longer...

...unless he screws up again.

I think with all his old guns and stuff, JJones should make a house call to Tank to make a "scared straight" type visit to Pacman after he is reinstated! :laugh1:

you do get to keep the 4th this year, but if pacman cant play this year we get your 4th next year...its as simple as that:star:

thanks oilerman - appreciate the views of your team on this as well.

my "issue" is that it's actually bad for tennessee because the cowboys assume no risk in a worst case scenario now. if pacman doesn't get reinstated we'll get the titans 4th next year (i don't believe this to be true at this point however).

now unless that pick is lower than our 4th rounder this year, we in effect lose our 4th this year but get it back next year likely higher than what we gave up.

makes no sense to do that which is why i don't think millionaires missed this tidbit being reported.

if that's the real deal i'm glad it screws over the titans for dragging this out anyway and making us put up with 12,348,928 MAKE IT RAIN jokes from people who still think that's funny.

well one of us can't read.

look dude. i tried to be polite and welcome you to the board but now in blunt brutal honesty, i can only dumb myself down so far and it's become painfully apparant it's not far enough.

you get our 4th this year. 6th next year if all goes well.
if not and he does not get reinstated, we get your 4th next year.

your 4th next year is likely higher than our 4th this year. you in essense "rent" our 4th round pick this year and give us interest should pacman not pan out for us.

stupid for tennessee? yes. which is why i was questioning it. now either keep up or may i suggest a RIF program, or the sylvan center?

iceberg;2046952 said:
yes, that is what i said. now please make more fun of my comprehension as we're bored already with pacman talk and need a new target.

oilerman - you're right on the 1 post you pull out. not sure what i was thinking when i typed that but it was likely my mind in several different directions. you got me there.

however, from many other posts as you can see, that's not what i meant to say. but yes, i was unclear in this one you're having a hard time quoting.

Dude. The Titans will use our 4th rounder in three days.

We won't know if PacMan will be reinstated for a few months.

How in the $&#! would Dallas take back their 2008 4th rounder?

Why are you even arguing about it?

It was clearly just a slip and you are acting like the balance of power in the free world depends on the answer.

Let it go...

Hopefully JJones wasn't lying when he said that this year's crop of WR wouldn't help us now and would be a reach to use a first on any of them.

Go for a vet, or stay with what we have. Of course, try a late round flyer on a few... like Monk.

Yeah, but he had a knack for pulling out sex toys at the pivitol moments of murder trials.

Once Pacman gets reinstated I'm going to round up my stripper friends and go find him. For the love of the game.

Be careful, now. You might catch one of those stray bullets and we wouldn't want that.:laugh2:

I love it when fans of other teams come in and say the other side got the best end of the deal, Jones will not make it, etc.

It sounds more like envy and fear to me.

A 4th rounder must be big news in Tenn.

well in all fairness i did say it all wrong in that one post, but in MANY others i got my point across correctly. it shouldn't have been that big an issue.

So if he can't play next year -- we end up with what will likely be a higher pick in the 4th than we had this year

I like Hardy, I'll take Cason/Flowers/Talib at 22 and Hardy at 28 with absolutely no problems.

I like Monk, but Hardy is a freak. He may be the 2nd WR taken behind Devin Thomas.

I bet the Commanders end up taking Hardy at 21.
