Pacman a Cowboy! ***Mega Merge***

That thing up top says hes going to receive a new contract......

Waiting to see this.

Keep these things in mind:

  1. Is he in football shape or close to it?
  2. Will he be reinstated and if so, when?
  3. Does he stay out of trouble.
IMO, even though adding someone of his talent gives more flexibility, we have no guarantee if/when he will play this season and we have to add a corner via the draft.

Happy it’s done and over. Now package those two firsts for Roy and get a running back in the second.

Sounds good to me... still want another quality CB in the draft though.

If those strippers couldn't depend on Pacman giving them that 50k, don't believe that Pacman is going to be depended on just yet.

If he gets re-instated you can also slash punt returner from the needs list. I think Austin is good on KOR so we should be set in the return game.

I am thrilled to hear this. I can't wait to see him shutting opposing WR's down and making a serious impact in the return game.

:welcome: to the Dallas Cowboys Mr. Adam Jones.

I love Jerry as an owner. He may make mistakes, but by gosh he's always trying to get playmakers!!
I couldn't have put it any better.

lmao..."mega merge".

I'm not nearly as comfortable with this as I thought I would be. Meh...

1. He said he was working out so much that he strained his hamstring. He's in football shape.

2. He will be reinstated sometime, and that is why the cowboys put certain revisions in the trade.

3. If he wants to play football again, he will stay out of trouble because he wont get back in if he causes a ruckus.

I hope we still take a CB in the 1st.

It's bad enough we let the Titans get the better of us, don't pin our hopes on him now.

And please someone please explain to me how this myth that Pacman is a shutdown corner got started?

So the draft would be:

1st - Roy Williams
2nd - Ray Rice
3rd - Best Available
4th - Pacman

I could live with that!!

Yep-I am sure that will happen.

/end sarcasm.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but two firsts for Roy? I don't think so. At least not straight up. We'd better get more in return than just RW.

If you know Jerry, you just KNEW Jerry had to get this done before the draft.

You can say what you want, but Jerry is expecting him to play this season and this will affect his need to take a CB in the first round.

I love Jerry as an owner. He may make mistakes, but by gosh he's always trying to get playmakers!!

This better not affect Dallas taking a CB early.

Giving up a 4th-round pick for Jones is one thing, but counting on him to be in uniform this season and staying out of trouble is crazy.

Adam Jones is an extra. He can't be depended on to be in uniform and stay in uniform this year.

This absolutely cannot change their draft board.

This extortion report sounds like it could be a payoff. And there are the civil trials coming up.

This is going to go on for a awhile and there's no guarantee that this guy will ever suit up for Dallas.

He has stated publicly that he will play out his current contract as a measure of good faith to any team that acquires him...

I think his contract peaks out at 2.1 mil over the next two or three years...

If that's the case - and given our glorious 4th round selections over the past 10 years - I say "good job."................the guy is a scumbag, but IF he keeps himself clean, the talent will speak louder than anything else in the long run....

This doesn't bother me in the least. A 4th round pick is very little in the grand scheme of things. Pacman can be a very good player, and even if he doesn't get reinstated/screws up again, we get the pick back next year.

That having been said, I still think Dallas needs to draft a Corner in the first round of this years draft.

Sometime could be July, could be September, could be December, could be next year. We still need to draft a corner.

While working out to stay in shape is good, it isn't quite the same as playing 16 games of football, which he hasn't done in quite some time.

Oh, you old Crafty Jerruh, you......

You had me thinking it wasn't going to happen. You had me thinking it was a no go. Then you do this....

I'm on to you Jerruh, I'm on to you...

Great news!

Better then anything we could get in the 4th rd......study our history....this was the 6th overall pick Zoners!

Happy Day!
