Pacquiao VS Clottey!! PPV Cowboys Stadium

why sign on to fight and then NOT FIGHT?

i hate boxing, cause it sucks. from the time i was little and all throughout the 90s, i got to see fighters that would just stand in the middle and throw punches.....Hearns, Hagler, Leonard, Chavez, Duran, Tyson, Forman, Holyfield, Jones Jr, Whittaker, De La Hoya

now, no one boxes or even fights. one guy does all the work and the other just takes it, as if it is a PPV spar session.

give me pro wrestling any day. at least they dont pretend to be real....they know we know it is fake...and they give us hot women to look at and funny promos to laugh at.

i would even take mma over boxing and i cant stand mma. with the way boxing is going these days, id rather watch golf with or without tiger woods....now if that doesnt tell you how bad boxing has gotten, nothing will.

You just proved my point that Mayweather is scared of Pacquiao. It has nothing to do with drugs. Mayweather knows that Pacquiao can and probably will beat him, so he took the easy way out while trying to save face. Mayweather = scared little boy.
This.

I don't think anyone was claiming beforehand this wasn't going to be a lopsided fight. Why would you be surprised or upset that it was?

im not saying the fight cant be lopsided.....im saying if you sign on to fight, then fight....dont circle the ring and be a glorified punching bag. if you are going to lose anyway, no one wants to see 12 rounds of what we saw last night. come out guns a-firing and go out in a blaze of glory. throw everything you have at your opponent and if you get beat, so beat it. at least you did what you came to do, FIGHT.

Honestly, the only time a fighter can win and not throw punches is if he a South Korean fighing in Seoul against Roy Jones Jr.

Biggens, I agree with you to agree. I think it is about the style of fighters these days. Everyone seems to be a counter puncher these days and it makes for boring fights. When a counter puncher like Clottey cant get off or when 2 counter punchers spend half the fight waiting for each other to throw a punch it makes for a really boring fight.

If a fighter doesn't fight, they should not release his side of the purse. Heck, fine him on top of it.

Some refs will give warnings and take points if you don't fight. Clottey should have been disqualified.

He probably didn't plan to run around the ring, but as Tyson said -- everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Manny hits hard.

Good to see Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman and Barry Switzer sitting front row.
