Paging Derrick Johnson?

Ya know outside of Mitchell I didnt hear any of KC's LB's names called until the end. I totally forgot they signed Kendrell Bell this offseason. And until this post I forgot all about Derrick Johnson as well. I too like the Ware pick, lol.

They stuffed the gaps on the runs for most of the day.

Witten didn't go hog wild either so you have to consider it a success outside of the holding call.

Well, Witten did have like 8 catches for close to 90 yards and a score -- just about his best game of the year.

He was invisible up until the holding call in the endzone. Ware outplayed him today
Good observation.

If I am not mistaken, he was in on a sack. I could be wrong though, will have to go re-watch to see.

What game did you watch? Witten had a monster game and we ran at will pretty much so where do you get they stuffed the gaps? Barber had over 5 yards per carry and jones had close to 4.

Derrick Johnson only had two tackles (1 solo), no sacks

Dalton and Browning each had a sack, while Allen had two for the Chiefs.

Witten caught 7 catches for 93 yds 1td, so yes he abused the Chief lbs and safeties. Gonzales had 5 catches for 94 yds 0td as comparison.

How many catches were on Johnson?

let's see what the game book says.

First Jones had only a 3.4 avg., not close to four. Jones ran exclusively towards the left side. Johnson's side.

Second, Barber ran the traps all day up the middle and he avg. 5.5 ypc.

Witten, had a good statistical day, but he was isolated on Surtain alot so much of it was the safeties. Johnson's only mistake on Witten was the holding.

As for our LBs they gave up 161 yards of rushing. 143 alone to Larry Johnson. In the intermediate zones Dallas gave up 169 yards receiving to players who weren't spread out wide.

For the record, we are considered on of the top ten defences in the league, but we fared no better against a team that doesn't feature a top ten receiver and brings the run exclusively at opponents and dares tehm to beat them.

If not for the three points left on the field, I would say we all might be singing a different tune.

Their LBs fared well today given that they aren't m,uch hyped and they held Dallas runners to 129 yards total. Far cry from our 169.

That's the game I saw.

Witten had two 12-yard catches against Johnson. One in a zone coverage, and one on a play-action pass when Johnson bit on the fake and left Witten open in the flat.

He put consistent pressure on the QB all day against a probowl LT.

Consistently? Thats stretching it. I didn't notice much pressure from him until the end of the 3rd quarter and the 4th.
