sounds like a good deal for baker, he is out of cleveland ~~~!!!!!!
Lol.They would do better playing Cam Newton again.
Your all in these days.If that's true, then that's relatively new. They used to do that all the time years ago. I think they no longer do this because in most cases teams can't afford to pay two good QBs.
I would say yes.Is Mayfield even better than Darnold?
What do you call relatively new? They used to draft QB's to sit and learn behind the starter for a few years, or like with Steve Young the 49ers brought him in because they felt Montana was fading with age (same with Luck being drafted to replace Manning). If that's true, then that's relatively new. CZ Moderators have moslty allowed Mayfield / Watson / Rodgers threads to remain on the 'Fan Zone' vennue.Who cares.
Put this thread in the NFL Zone

They've done the same with the numerous postings about NFL league offseason rankings & ratings
yeah, a teaser for a desparate drunkMayfield is a teaser; he will do just enough to make you hope then let you down when you count on him.

But I don't recall many times over the last I don't know how many years (decades?) where a team felt strong about the starter they had, and that starter was still young enough to have a lot of years left, where a team brought in real competition through free agency or trade.
You're right that part if it is not wanting or being able to pay 2 high level QB's, but other parts are (1) a high level QB who is a free agent doesn't want to go to a team that hasn't committed to making him the starter, (2) a team doesn't want to give up much in a trade for a QB it isn't sure will start, and (3) team's don't want to be divided in the locker room by a QB controversy.
I really don't know.We will see.

Hell of a wake up call. Looking forward to seeing how he responds. That's gotta make Baker feel good about himself.
It's well worth it for them. Not giving up anything reallyPanthers sure better hope so.
I think I’d rather play Cam and get a top 5 pick then play Baker and get the 12th overall pick. Baker just seems like a cancer.Have you watched Cameron in the last few years?
They’re trading did a man child who threw a fit because his team wanted better than him. If he was smart he would’ve sat back and just did what he was suppose to do he’d be starting for a much better team in the Browns. Now he has to compete with Darnold who they traded more for to get. It's well worth it for them. Not giving up anything really
If all Watson does is miss one season I’d rather have him than Baker for sure.what a dysfunctional organization the Browns are . Paid 250 mil plus 15 mil , for Jacoby Brisset to start for them in 2022 !!! crazy organization in Cleveland
