He seems to have that club pointed in the right direction and Darnold to me looks much better then he ever did floundering in New Jersey but one play sticks out. When the Panther HC himself shoved that defensive player off the sidelines telling him get back out to the game and then Carolina is flagged for too many men on the field.

Why wouldn’t a position coach be the one to shove bodies out into the game not the HC and second if McCarthy had shoved someone back into action drawing a too many men on the field penalty the boards would have lit up from here to Racine Wisconsin. McCarthy seems more spectator then that , keeping time outs bizarre challenges etc

Someone theorized it was done on purpose to save clock time, but thought it was odd too. Overall this coaching staff has done a nice job with a Panther's team that looked to be rebuilding. Offensively they have some nice weapons and have Darnold playing with a lot more confidence. Defensively I know they came into the game feeling pretty good, but not sure if it was the team's they played, but seemed to maintain pretty tight coverage.

There are different types of head coaches....Rhule is a recent college coach, they are much more hands on than most NFL coaches.

I’ve never seen so much love for a coach that got blown out before the Cowboys stepped off the gas.

Does he have the team pointing in the right direction? Yes. But let’s not act like he’s some genius that out-coached our staff and still lost. Big Mike and his crew beat him yesterday.

One difference is MM makes mistakes that we have to overcome. The penalty Sunday clearly was intentional and aided the Panthers.

Rhule is a likable guy for sure. I think the big difference between the two is Rhule doesn't have a huge "F" on his coaching resume yet at Carolina like McCarthy does here. Fans here are ready for the disaster, fans at Carolina still "Love their coach" - the shine is still there.

Good HC, but am I the only one that thinks he looks like an annoying whiner on the sideline? Does the same thing every week. You want to get mad, get mad, but stop whining
Reminds me of Ben MCadoo. Which BTW..works for Dallas as a consultant etc. Interesting hire.

For sure, but you can like what he's done with that team, while still preferring what we have in Dallas. Complementing Rhule doesn't mean you're hating on our guys, and I wouldn't trade ours for theirs in any scenario.
