they did that and got blasted last year for Poe, Mccoy, Griffen , Asmith etc etc

We need to actually spend money on quality free agents who still have a load of juice left in the tank. Build the defense in the draft and free agency. That's the priority.

I hear ya....to a point.

Thing is that no other sports franchise is run this way.....with the owner and GM being the same person, his right hand man qualified only by relation.

That same guy is also all over the media and is the face of the franchise.

Decisions are made by Jerry collecting the thoughts of several different people then picking the one he thinks is best.

Sure, some other teams have been just as futile, but when you're trying to pull off something that no other pro sports franchise has done, and you haven't won in forever, things are bound to be questioned.....and deservedly so.

More should have been accomplished given the players that have come through here in the last 20 years.

That being the case, I tend to blame the culture or the type of HC Jerry insists on having, not so much the personnel.

I keep saying Jerry needs to simply publicly state that the HC is the boss (not sell the team, and not even give up GM).....and get off the radio.

His ego won't allow that.

Therefore Dallas needs superior talent on the field to have a SHOT to overcome this mess of an entitled atmosphere and refusal to seek top coaching (one interview that wasn't Rooney motivated after Garrett).

Most of us know it on some level around here, which is why many of us are frantic over plugging every single hole on paper.

We never have top coaching that can overcome otherwise.
