Come on people, I am very disappointed just like most fans on this forum that we have lost most of the important games this season. However, this will be the second time in four seasons that Parcells has led this team to the playoffs.

The best thing about the 2006 team is that it is a very talented team that is locked and loaded for now and the future. We have a franchise QB in Romo. We have a great running back duo in Jones and Barber. We have an elite WR corp. We have a very young and talented defense that will only get better. We have most of our offensive line in place.

We're probably just a defensive coordinator, RG, and OLB away from being a dominating team. In the offseason, we fire Zimmer, pick up Eric Steinbach and Adalius Thomas in free agency and have another stellar draft.

And by the way folks...

WE ARE IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!!

Let's not get crazy and fire the entire coaching staff just yet. ;)

I don't necessarily want him gone, I just want to see him get mad. Really, really mad.

I want to see him put some underperforming ***** on the bench, regardless whether their respective replacements are as good as them or not.

I want him to send a message. I'm tired of him just standing there and looking sick.

I want the players to be scared of him, like players used to be.

True.

If you want to just take a macro look at what Parcells has done then yes, it appears to be okay.

But if you want to dig a little deeper and take a micro view of what Parcells has done, then there is definately alot to be desired because as a Hall of Fame coach, I am not going to compare his record to Campo's, he will be compared to the Landry's of the world.

do you mean Landry of the late 1969s, 1970s when we won or the guy who choked at home two straight years against the Commanders when we could have won the NFC East, or the one who started Hoogeboom in 1984 thereby costing us a playoff berth, and the one who was 7-9, 6-9 and 3-13 at the end and was like a fish out of water?

Considering his paycheck and his pedigree, he has been a big disappointment, especially if we have a quick exit next month.

Parcells is an idiot that confuses weak minds with the way he talks to the media in his press conferences. If we are lucky, we will finish the season at 10-6. Last year 10-6 wouldn't have made the playoffs.

Who cares if it would have made it last year or not?

Okay you got me on that.

Let me change it up and say I am going to judge him based on:

The Amount of control he has

His pedigree, he is constantly billed as Hall of Fame Coach

How long he has had to rebuild

Based on those things again, alot is left to be desired.

I wrote in another thread that some of the subtle things that have went on has been grossly overlooked by me.

Ex-players calling and totally dumbfounded by his looks on the sidelines.

Ex-players having to come on the sidelines to try and re-motivate the guy and get him back to the Big Bill of old.

Kissing and hugging guys after a win, I am no Parcells Historian, but I dont remember him doing that.

All I am saying is where there is smoke, there is fire.

The point is that 10-6 (If we are lucky) does not put us up in the top level of the league. The 10-6 teams are really on the outside looking in, with the rare occasion. The 10-6 teams dont always make the playoffs. The 10-6 teams are just 2 or 3 field goals away from being 7-9 teams.

Once more: 10-6 is not a record of a "great" team.

I don't totally disagree with you. When we hired him, I thought we would be in a SB by now (this season isn't over but you know what I mean). Still, judging solely by myself, I enjoy watching us far more now than in the early 2000s, we are usually competitive etc.

We have not had the results I expected but I know I am no longer shy about telling people I like the Cowboys and wearing jerseys/sweatshirts/teeshirts out like I was before he was the coach.

Newsflash there are no great teams anymore.

New england is the exception because they had sefless players who did whatever was asked of them.

Other than that, this is a one year at a time league that goes week to week.

Anyone can beat anyone. I dont think there is one great team in this league.

The chargers are the closest to it, but the quarterback play is so average that you really cant call them great.

10-6 gets us into the playoffs and a shot at the championship.

If owens catches a wide open touchdown in washington we are 11-5 with a home playoff game. If he catches that ball down the sideline last night who knows maybe we are 12-4.

This is not the same parcells of old days, but I will take him. The parcells haters are pretty funny. They are always referencing things they dont even know to be true and stating cliche's.

This team matches up well with seattle. If we go in there and win in two weeks, the tune around here will be quite different.

How do you think seattle fans feel. Look at the way they are playing. they have a hall of fame to be coach also and they lose games in mind boggling ways.

Stuff happens. Get over it. Blaming the coaches everytime we lose is sorry. You have to be a fan through thick and thin. You cant go firing everyone and changing players after every loss.

They won three superbowls didn't they.

2001, 2003 and 2004, not right after Parcells left.

Even in 2000, they were pretty bad and they caught a break in 2001 when Blesdoe ruptured an internal organ and on the tuck rule.
