Uh, what does an angle have to be with a tangent? In mathematical terms, a tangent has nothing to do with angles. Obtuse has nothing to do with tangents. When you call someone obtuse, it's a euphemism for idiot. Just letting you know, so you don't use it incorrectly anymore.

I fully understand the definition of "tangent." I also fully understand the definition of "obtuse." I just don't get how you think they're synonyms.

BP handles the media better than any coach in the league, past or present and it's not even close. He's not going to say or do anything that doesn't help him do his job, which is to win football games. He's certainly not going to go off half cocked commenting on something he didn't see. That would be stupid and BP is not stupid. There's no doubt Gurode knows full well BP is in his corner. He's been there every day for three years. And he will comment on the subject tomorrow after he's watched the tape, there is no doubt of that. The way you've couched your arguments with terms like "his highness" sounds a lot like some of the local media. Weak stuff.

Why do you keep trying to move the traget? Some people have suggested that he might not have seen it. That may very well be true. Regardless, that's not the thrust of your argument. Your contention is that whether he knew anything or not, Parcells shoudl have come out and told every that Haynesworth is a bad, bad man; and that not having done so, he is less of a coach -- even to the pont that he may have hurt our future free agent acquisitions. That's just friggin' silly.

You're changing the arguement.

No one knows or cares what Bill knew or didn't know. You said that Gurode (and yourself) would feel left out to dry, or unsupported by Bill's comments.

MOst of us think Gurode could care less that Bill didn't re-state the obvious, whether he knew it or not.

He's no doubt gotten some 2nd hand reports but he hasn't watched the tape. This is not the kind of thing to get into without seeing it for yourself- one question leads to several, it always does. By tomorrow Bill will know a lot more about how he expects the league to handle it and/or the Titans. Either way there's no percentage in him talking now based on 2nd hand information and after reviewing it he will be able to be a lot more precise in what he does/doesn't say. That's the wise course of action. Calling out Haynesworth in public today isn't going to earn him any brownie points with Gurode or his team. As LTN said, it's a safe bet he's talked to Andre privately.

There must be a bunch of low self esteem football players here. 1st of all I could careless if the coach comes out against the other guy because I know a higher authority(ies) will have their say. If he does decide to come out I want him to have all the facts verbally and visually. The only thing I need from the coach is his positive and negative feedback on my play that day and what I need to correct or keep doing right.

I think Bill said what he needed to say. If he feels he needs to address the media on the matter he will at the next press conference. I'm sure it will be one of the first questions. He is right in not giving a statment on the matter without actually seeing it. If any player on the team loses respect for parcells because he didn't give the media a statement they can run with for tomorrows headlines, they never had respect for him in the first place. Respect is something I think Parcells has from his team.

I'm guessing parcells has addressed this issue with his team also. He doesn't need to go through the media to talk to his team.

I'll throw my $.02 into the fray and say this... It has not been just this year but I grow tired of a Coach that apparently doesn't ever know what is going on the field Sunday...
