Parcells said this when talking about Fasano and the Tight end position. To me it seems like Parcells is planning to finish out his contract!!

"I have a little more inclination to want to acquire that position," Parcells said at this weekend's rookie mini-camp here at Valley Ranch. "If another one comes along next year, I'll take another one."

I think he'll stay too, unless Dallas wins the Super Bowl. Same with Gibbs. I think if either wins the ultimate prize, they would want to re-retire at the top.

What is the debate. Who do you want as coach. The Cowboys are on the right track, I dont want them to start over. Let Bill do his thing as long as the team keeps getting better. If they start taking a step backwards then lets have a coaching debate. I do feel that Bill will finish out his contract. I know he wants another Superbowl win or 2, so people wont say Billechik is a better coach then him.

Just by watching the 2 PCs he has had this weekend, it looks like Bill IS Bill again.

Last season he seemed more "tired", if thats a good way to put it.

Now, he has the smarta$$ smirk on his face towards the media, along with his attitude towards them. IMO, he didn't that as much last season as he had in the past. The time during the offseason where he "recharged" his battery along with how the team seems to be coming along seems to have him more motivated to stick around for the duration of his contract(maybe even 1 or 2 years longer).

He just seems to be "interested" in being apart of the team/orginization than he did last year.

Just my opinion, but that's how it seems to me...

I think you're reading too much into that. I took that as him speaking theoreticaly. He thinks you can never have too many quality tight ends.

Losing a brother in the middle of the season would affect anyone's enthusiasm I would think.

Good to see him recharged and refocused.

I love the way Parcells drafts. The more of them he oversees in Dallas, the better, IMHO.

The longer Parcells stays the more likely it is that Weis will leave ND. :)

I get the feeling that Parcells wants to become part of another dynasty. He PROBABLY (I say probably, because I don't want to make a pure statement assuming something like many do when they say he will retire based on nothing), that parcells wants to be better known than belicheck.

And he is in the process of having a very young and very talented team.

Belechick is a mastermind coach, and he deserves his credit as well. Though Crenell and Weis were under Parcells, they made their names under Bellechek...and I agree about the on track thing. Parcells has made this team ALOT better than it was at any point in the last 8 years.

that seems to be the running issue w/bill. at the start of the year he's the bp we've known for decades. at the end of the year he's the tired old man with thoughts of retirement running through his head.

what I meant was that he didn't look this motivated at the same time last season(after the draft) or at any time during last season.

I noticed the same - I think he is simply more confident this year. This is the first time that I think in this tenure as coach that he believes his team has a shot to go all the way.

News Flash: Our last Head Coach was Dave Campo.

I swear to God, Cowboys fans.

LITTLE Bill is a mastermind coach who won Super Bowls with players that were mostly drafted by BIG BILL and the team had HIS former asst coaches.

Even Switzer won a championship with a team ALREADY full of talented players and very good asst coaches. And we all know what happened when all of Jimmy's coaches and most of his draft picks were no longer with the Cowboys.

Now, IMO LITTLE Bill is a good coach, but let's see what happens now that alot of BIG BILL'S draft picks are not on the team(like last year).

Bill Parcells has never had his version of LITTLE Bill's browns.

no doubt about it. tuna here for 4-5 years drafting and churning us from a bottom feeder club then Weis can stroll upon the same pot-o-gold that Belichick is enjoying post-Tuna (that won 3 SBs)

You beat me to that comment. I can only hope a Parcells regime passes the torch to a Weis regime.:thankyou:

when vinnie ended the season, bp seemed bitter and defeated to me. i remember cause i was angry we let 3 games get away and wouldn't let another qb take a snap to see what they had.

by the time the next season started, he was a LOT happier. by the end of last year you know the coach we had.

seems to be a running trend.
