I'm not sure it matters who replaces BP since I expect that interfering moron, Jethro, to mismanage the team back into the ground the same way he did with Jimma's team anyway. I would be very surprised if it worked out any other way. History repeats itself.

Guess I'm feeling a bit testy this morn.

Parcells said this when talking about Fasano and the Tight end position. To me it seems like Parcells is planning to finish out his contract!!

"I have a little more inclination to want to acquire that position," Parcells said at this weekend's rookie mini-camp here at Valley Ranch. "If another one comes along next year, I'll take another one."

he also said he doesn't sign a 2-year extension and not plan on seeing it out, or something along those lines

that seems to be the running issue w/bill. at the start of the year he's the bp we've known for decades. at the end of the year he's the tired old man with thoughts of retirement running through his head.

well most people in their 60's, in any profession, are like that at the end of the working year

I hope it is not going to become a Favre like ordeal each year to see if BP will decide to come back for one more year.

but the difference is it's the media turning it into a Favre-like ordeal

LITTLE Bill is a mastermind coach who won Super Bowls with players that were mostly drafted by BIG BILL and the team had HIS former asst coaches.

Even Switzer won a championship with a team ALREADY full of talented players and very good asst coaches. And we all know what happened when all of Jimmy's coaches and most of his draft picks were no longer with the Cowboys.

Now, IMO LITTLE Bill is a good coach, but let's see what happens now that alot of BIG BILL'S draft picks are not on the team(like last year).

Bill Parcells has never had his version of LITTLE Bill's browns.
Exactly, Little Bill was a good coach that lucked out and got Tom Brady in the 6th round.

Weis's extension was made pretty much NFL proof. There is no longer an out for a specific NFL coaching job as there was in the first contract. AND it costs $15 million to buy it out now. Weis is not going anywhere for years.
Where'd you get the new number? I know the old one was $1.5 MM, but I was unaware that the new number had made it out. You'd think it would have been plastered all over the place like the old number was.

Well, you did notice how the talk about Weis coming here disappeared for a while? I was on a ND board during that time in december and a lot of info that was found to be accurate came out (leaked) before the contract EXTENSION was signed. It had a lot of changes over the original contract. I think once it became clear that Weis wanted to stay at ND and had no intention of leaving the media interest flat out died.
