Whine about Parcells all you want, but we've had two +.500 seasons in the last seven years, and they both came under him.
If you really want to complain about Parcells, then never cheer for Ware, Jones, Keyshawn, Glenn, James, Barber, Crayton, Witten, Newman, Canty, Spears, Henry, or any of the other players except for a select few again.
You can blame playcalling, gameplanning, personnel, draft picks or free agents all you want, but if you can't see a difference between this team as it stands today and any of our teams in recent memory than you're nothing but an unobjective hater.
If you want a perfect coach than you point him out and bring him in. If you want a coach who does everything perfectly within the system that is the NFL of the year 2005-2006, bring him in. You''ll have a damn hard time finding him.
It's time for some fans get off the tradition of this franchise to a degree. There is nothing wrong with having expectations, but there is also the reality that things aren't now as they have always been.
Expectation are fine, but reality is that **** happens and **** doesn't always happen the way you want it. Some players don't play as well as you would think they would, some get hurt, some bust. Some bounces go your way, some bounces don't. Some penalties go your way, some penalties don't. Name one coach in the NFL or college that you can state with 100% veracity would do a better job.
10 years since a Super Bowl. Woop-de-****ing-do. We waited 15 years between them before. It might be another 5 years before we return to the Super Bowl, it might be 10 years the way the league is now. We're not the only team in the NFL with a rich tradition who hasn't seen a return to what we consider our rightful place. The Browns, Packers, Eagles, Raiders and 49ers are all teams with a great history who haven't done anything for years, and it's not all about coaching.
