I'm sure he did controll who started and to a degree who was brought in but Little Bill Ran the show on the field.

Not according to Belichick. I suggest you read his book

that's what I wanted to know.

well that guy is talking like he knew. Its a bad question though because what years dio you count? Do you count Belechicks first year as DC? You know Bill didnt let him do jack in his first year. Do you count first years with bad teams. When he went to a bad team to rebuild them? I believe the record using the above mentioned criteria is about .500 but if you drop first years and belechicks forst season as DC the record improves dramatically

Parcells record without Belichick: 46-50

Parcells record with Belichick: 117-73 (including the first 2 NYG seasons)

Playoffs: With Belichick 12-6 with 2 SB wins and 1 SB loss
Playoffs: Without Belichick 0-2

Well, he did make the playoffs...In some ways, considering the astronomical number of injuries they've had and the coaching staff turnover, this might be the best coaching job Belichick has done.

They were in the worst division in football by far.

If we had 6 games against the Jets, Bills and Miami we'd be in the playoffs too.

exactly which years did you use? because your numbers are off. like the first 2 years with NYG Belechick was not a DC he was like a LB coach or some ****. and a couple of the NE years Belechick was not there as well

Taken from a story that aired just yesterday on ESPN

If the numbers are off it's on them. lol

those numbers are off, they used every year he was on parcells staff including years he was a secondary coach, and a year where he was LB coach.

And in his first 3 years without Belicheck in NE WAS 21-27
And the ONE year WITH Belichick in NE he was ........11-5 AND WENT TO THE SUPERBOWL.

I don't have nearly the energy to tru and figure it out.

I'm sure we will have some spit fire poster come along and do it soon enough. lol

I'm guessing we can't get him here to replace Zimmer? :D

What differance what position he coached does it make ?
The numbers speak for themselfs .

That's ridiculous.

You think a LB or secondary coach is the only reason Parcells won games those seasons?

Parcell's win-loss record is skewed because 3 times now he has taken over completely terrible teams, and it takes time to build them into contenders.

The Belichick stuff has some merit - what team anywhere would not be better with TWO potential HOF coaches on the staff?

BUt there is more to Bill's career then his W-L record, because of the circumstances of him taking over teams when the stink and leaving when they are finally good.

So lets get this right. In his first three years rebuilding a program where he drafts Bledsoe, Ty Law, Willie mcginnest, Curtis martin, ted Johnson, Troy brown, Bringing in dave megget Parcells gets absolutely no credit, but when Little Bill shows up and leads the team to the #20 defense in the NFL he gets all the credit for a superbowl?? Ignore the fact Pats had #2 in scoring offense that year belechicks #20 D took them to the show right?

lmao

What difference does it make?? You seriously think some secondary coach or LB coach had anything to do with running the team?? lol

I will agree the man is a VERY GOOD COACH,but without Bill Belicheck as his defensive coordinator ,he has NEVER won a thing .

I cringe everytime I hear this argument, really. It's stupid, check out how Bellicheck did in his first year before a sixth round pick rushed into a starter turned into a stud QB (He had so much problems motivating the team he had to pay them to be aggressive). Check out the rebuilding job Parcells did in New England grooming a young QB (Who got Bellicheck into his first SB as head coach) as well as the Jets. Maybe we should hire Barry Switzer because he's won the same number of Superbowls as Jon Gruden, Mike Holgrem Mike Martz and only missed the playoffs once in his NFL career.

ok
As stictly a DEFFENSE COORDINATOR
Parcells record WITH Belickick is 105-54
.................without Belichick is 46-50
now whats the argument ?
