His security was already there.

Did anyone truly question Dak's work ethic or desire to win though? I commend him for practicing before the contract was signed. He's always had a fantastic work ethic.

Not that I necessarily disagree with you but Dak only played under the tag once. While tagged in 2021 he signed his extension that offseason in March (8th) before camp (actually he signed it the day after the tag was placed because the contract was basically completed).

No assurances a championship caliber team is going to want to fork up what it’s going to take to get him. He could end up on a team he doesn’t want to play for. He certainly isn’t going to be able to pick the team he wants to go to. From what I hear he likes playing for the Cowboys.

Respect to Dak for practicing all during camp. Where I think it’s a little different though is that Micah won’t get to wear a red jersey where no one can touch him. Significantly higher risk of practicing as a QB than and edge player.
